These were installed in my kitchen ceiling to replace screw-in LED bulbs in the recessed lights. I like the looks of these lights better than the ones they replaced. The replacement procedure was easy to follow and the installation was smooth and easy. Five lights replaced in about half an hour. I set the color temp to white like sunshine and I like it better than the original light's color. I have not used the night light feature so won't comment on that. As functional kitchen lights I like them a lot.

These recessed lights are very easy to install and assemble. The lights are very bright and you can easily choose your favorite color. The material seems to be very lightweight.

My daughter has the larger, 6-inch SUNCO Recessed Lights in her new home. When visiting, I noticed the Nightlight feature in her recessed lighting. Very helpful at night ! My son-in-law is an Electrician, and he has strongly recommended the SUNCO Brand to me for over a decade. I am retro fitting my existing 4-inch Recessed Lights. I tested one fixture in a common table lamp ... to check out the Nightlight feature and the various 'colors' of the lights available. There is a switch on the back of the unit to select the colors: Warm, Neutral, Cool lighting. I have used SUNCO recessed lighting in my homes for many, many years. Never had to replace a fixture ... Used daily, they last for many, many thousands of hours ! ! !

Overall, I'd rate these 3.5 stars. They work fine but have a couple of caveats, so I'm not completely in love with them.I have a bunch of 4" can lights and want to replace the lights in some areas with lights that have the nightlight feature, so I ordered these. First off, when I received this box, it had clearly been opened (you could see the knife cuts on the inner cardboard flaps where the original tape had been cut through) and re-sealed with additional tape. I don't know if someone decided to return the box I got or what, but it clearly didn't ship from the factory like that. The next thing I noticed is that the lights--or more specifically the clips that hold the lights into the can--don't look like what the product listing photos show. That makes sense, because 4" cans typically don't have the side brackets like 6" cans do for the wire spring arms to slot into. At first glance, it doesn't look like this lights clips will fit into a 4" can because they are about 4.75" from clip to clip, but they will fit with a bit of a firm push.I tested these with my standard dimmer switch--a Lutron Diva DVCL-153P--and these dim smoothly with no apparent flickering or buzzing. The catch, however, is that while these will dim down to a pretty low level (maybe 10% or even a little lower), they won't turn back on at the lowest/dimmest setting, so you have to increase the brightness on the dimmer switch before you turn it on again. Other LED recessed lights I've used have no problem turning on at a very low setting, so I know it "can" (ha, see what I did there?) be done. The nightlight also dims based on the switch, but not as much as the primary light.I like that these lights have five different color temperatures (you have to set this before installing the light in the can because the switch is on the top of the light and will be hidden once installed in the can). For most situations, I find the 3000K and 4000K to be the best; 2700K comes across as pretty yellow, and the 6000K is quite cold and blue.I don't love that the white trim ring around the light is made from plastic--I know that what is going to happen over the course of several years (these are supposed to last 35 years and are warranted for 7 years) the plastic is going to yellow and look dingy. I haven't had that happen with the painted metal can light trims of yore, but every single plastic part yellowed. But that is a concession to price cutting, and to be honest, the price on these is pretty attractive. My parting piece of advice when buying any LED recessed lights like these is to make sure you buy enough that you have at least a couple spares. While these should last a long time in theory, electronics do fail, and in a few years time, you're going to have a hard time finding a replacement that matches these, so you'll either have to live with mis-matched lights or replace all of them. It's so much better to have a few spares in reserve.

Pros:- The color temperature selector is very easy to operate.- Even though they are smaller 4-inch lights, they are still very bright.- The night light feature is very easy to understand and use. I turn on the main light through the light switch, turn it off, and then turn it on again in less than 5 seconds, and the night light turns on (Note: the night light feature does not work very well with smart/Z-wave switches.)Cons:- The metal clips on the housing don't seem to be compatible with any of my cans. I expected to see spring metal tensioners attached like the other can lights I have and much like the ones shown in the product images, but none were included in the box sent to me. I had to pry the springs off of my old recessed lights and try to squeeze them on the bent metal claw clips attached to these lights, so I need to deduct a star for that reason.Overall, these selectable temperature lights do their job quite well. I was not very wise when I ordered them, because the light fixtures I meant to use these in are actually designed for 5/6 inch diameter lights.Recommendation: Only buy these if you have retention springs from old recessed lights and you have verified the size of your housing, but the night light feature is fantastic.
