I blame myself as most include new bolts and shims. This one did not include either. Buy one that does include them.

It seems to be nice quality, but it requires different mounting bolts. The stock mounting bolts and the OEM brand new replacements were both too thick above the thread to pass through the starter and I was unable to install. For that reason, it is not a “direct fit”. You’ll have to troubleshoot until you find the bolts, because they won’t tell you. I kept it, because I still want to install it when I find the correct bolts some day.

Compact and fit in my 31 Ford Roadster (with room to spare) that puts out 500+ HP. Cranks over easily every time.
