There is nothing wrong with the hoop, however it is orange not yellow so if you are wanting yellow specifically you would be disappointed.

I bought this to try out embroidery, so I can't really say how the hoop stands up to other hoop brands, but it seems to be working for me. If you're picky about the hoop color, I'll just say that the picture is of a yellow hoop, but mine is purple. So if this is to frame a piece of art, look elsewhere. Overall, I'm fairly satisfied with the product.

I purchased this as a gift basket item...i was assembling a craft basket for a child...this little hoop was very sturdy and well made...the color was cute...the shipping was fast...( i was on a birthday deadline ) but the main thing was the size...perfect for smaller hands to learn on... it's really trendy right now for younger kids to learn to embroider and cross stitch...actually all handcrafts are popular now...friendship bracelets, crochet, knit, rubberband and bead loom jewelry etc etc...the kids make gifts for each other...it's so sweet to see kids appreciating the art of handmade gift giving...TY to the hipster/artisan movement...charming!!
