I bought this as a gift for my daughter and my grand daughter to craft together. It it beautiful - the wooden covers are well made. It seems sturdy. My daughter is excited to assemble it and start using it. The price is good and it shipped quickly. I would purchase this again.

I love this flower press! I got this press as I have found that certain types of flowers do not like to be dried in silica; like my Pansies and Violas. This flower press is very very easy to use and is made with quality products (this shopper was shocked to receive as there is just so much cheaply made garbage products out there.) The size of this press means that you can dry allot of flowers at the same time.*(side note: I see other reviews state that this is a cheaply made product with crap accessories. Honestly, I did not buy a flower press for the scissors, which yes are cheap little scissors and the washers, they are plastic but you really dont need metal ones for this press.)-The Wooden base/top of the press is 8mm thick pine plywood 27.cmx17.5cm which has been cut evenly, all side have been sanded to a nice flat level surface and, the holes have been cleanly drilled in the correct spots.-The Drying Pads, I am not sure what product they actually are but upon opening their package they look and feel like a very high weight watercolour paper. There are 6 of them and they are all cut exactly the same and are symmetrical too. Once you use the drying pads they feel rather spongy; a surprise after my first use. I was worried that maybe they would fall apart but NO they are solid products, I am so impressed with them. **Note: store your drying pads in a sealed bag....these are very very good products and they absorb the moisture in the air easily.-The liner sheets....there are sooo many of them (another great surprise) are all cut the same and symmetrically like the drying pads. Not sure what they are made of but to me they look and feel like a stiff (but thin) interfacing you would use for sewing. They are so easy to use and since they are the same size as -the drying pads there is not guessing about where to put the etc.-the cardboard is just that, cardboard. Each of the sheets has been cut the same size and symmetrical, just like the drying pads and liner sheets. The card boards is also quite stiff and sturdy.-The screws and bolt are heavy brass and a bright shinny gold. The screws are 5mm/.5cm thick and 9.3cm long and they wing bolts are 25mm/2.5cm wide....and heavy quality products.-The washers for the bolts are not cheap, they are the thick plastic kind but they work great with the press. you DO NOT need metal washers for this product, there are no moving parts and you are not using if for something that is heavy etc! You are only using the washers/bolts temporarily while pressing flowers and then you are taking the press apart to store after use.-The little items for bookmarks are generic crafting supplies and include a kind of self-laminating sheet for the book marks.-The plastic storage bags are those HUGE ziploc type bags that easily fit a full press inside. I have seen some reviews that are confused about putting the press into the bags. You place the full press into the bag for the drying process so the Drying Pads absorb ONLY the flowers moisture.....you will be pleasantly surprised they first time you do this.-The instructions are pretty good as they include step by step pictures. There are only a couple of cons for this press however they do not effect me recommending this product or giving it 5 stars.-The little instruction sheet; few issues with the instructions.Firstly I thought that there was not instructions included as I could not find them until I happened to drop the liners.....the instructions where between the sheets of liners! Rather stupid place for them to be but not a tragedy.Second, these really need to be updated; (example: the front page even reads "Make You Life Funing". What??) Care and thought went into making the flower press kit...same thing needs to be done with the instructions.Thirdly, the sheet is set up with 4 little sections; Its section (3) that really needs to be removed and IF YOU ARE GIVING THIS KIT TO KIDS I would suggest using a black marker to take out this section. This section (3) says Drying method: USE MICROWAVE. !!! *wonder how many kids put this press with the metal bolts into their microwave??-The liner sheets - I have found that they can stick to the centre of some flowers, just be careful when removing your dried flowers. My only true complaint is that the liner sheets cause static on the dried flowers IF the flowers slide on the liner. For example: While I was removing my dried flowers I had to life up my press and did not pay attention to my top sheet with the dried flowers. The flowers slide off the liner sheet onto the table and were instantly stuck with static to the table and everywhere else.-The cardboard - I have had the cardboard leave lines on my flowers, quite disappointing really but not a game changer for this product. I have just replaced the corrugated cardboard that it comes with to a solid cardboard.I would definitely recommend this product, it is a great kit, great quality, easy to use and a great price too.
