I had heard online that these AV cables that have both S-Video and composite connectors are to be avoided, because some times the cable will output Composite-quality video over the S-Video connector. That is not the case with this cable. I tested both the S-Video and composite connectors on this cable with my N64 and Gamecube, and there is a noticeable uptick in clarity on the S-Video connector, as it should be. If you're looking to upgrade from the default composite cable on your console, this is a good cable to get.

Love having the N64 back in full operation! So many good games to play again thanks to this cable.

Worked absolutely perfectly! The s-video gives you a good jump in quality as opposed the composite cables that come with the N64 or SNES. The image is significantly sharper.
