We got this as our son wouldn’t wear an arm floaty but also because we wanted to try and stay away from them for safety. This suit, nicknamed his “scuba suit” worked so well, provided just enough floatation that he was safe but also allowed him to realize he needed to kick and hang onto the side. He wore from 24m up to 3+ years! He is 3.5 now and we still use it for the ocean. You CAN take out the floatation foam inside! I didn’t realize this, so you can wash it easily and even continue to wear after you don’t need the foam incase you don’t think you will need the float all summer you can still wear the suit!

My son really doesn’t like our Floaties or lifejackets. Of course it’s in a life jacket, but it sure can’t save their life and it’s just perfect for us because I just needed it as a just in case nothing

We decided to opt for something that was a little less then the swim vest our 3 and 5 year old love the pool but aren't ready to fully swim unassisted yet. We felt like the swim vest were preventing them from being able to get stronger I feel like these have really helped so far.

I buy these for all the new babies in our life. Once they are big enough these suits take away the fear of accidents around a pool or at the water. My children have worn them in pools, lakes, and the Ocean and with a few big wave exceptions it keeps their head above water and they can relax.My boys learned to swim in them, jump in and pop up, tread water.They are great!

First day trying today..I thought I had read that this would lean him towards his back but it was fairly neutral like he was a bobber.. He could kick easy and would keep him in a good swim position but he would have to pay attention to his breathing and not taking on water..I used to teach swimming when younger but my child like many think it's just play time with me so this was my last effort before paying for lessons ..I can tell after one use that it will work once he puts his mind to it... Can't speak on the material lasting but I will just air dry to be careful... Seemed sturdy to me.. My little guy is not quite 3.5 years old and average build and it fit great..
