This device massacred my 5GHz WiFi speed and latency, it using the 5GHz frequency instead of 2.5GHz as a stated *selling point* in the box. I can't say I have or used many bespoke non-WiFi 5GHz devices alongside my WiFi, this device did not coexist with me using my internet. If you get this particular wireless HDMI adapter, be conscious of the fact and keep it a distance from your router in the very least. Your millage may vary if your WiFi has latency issues (for video calls or gaming) or speed issues (downloading, etc), say if your router handles channel hopping within 5GHz or if you even rely on 5GHz WiFi. It may have been my particular router, or it may just be a technical limitation of wirelessly transmitting HDMI. Beware.

This product does its job and it displays video at 1080p@60hz over wireless connection. It does have some noticeable lag time of about 300-500ms, which is acceptable for my use case. It may or may not fit your needs. The transmission range is struggling to reach 100 ft as claimed in product description, which is a bit disappointing. After several tests in different environments, it can reliably reach maybe 30 ft or so (straight line of sight, no walls) with acceptable latency (1s) and will cause intermittent connection. If you live in an area with WiFi congestion issue, expect the working range to be further reduced. The product needs to be powered by USB on both TX/RX ends.

After first order was lost due to "weather" I finally got a replacement, that was also late. Inside package had been stepped on repeatedly. 1 USB C cable (2 incl) was DOA. Both units (RX/TX) got very hot, refused to pair, then paired and shut off repeatedly. I disconnected it from my PC and am now writing this. Return for refund? What a joke. Amazon logistics has gone downhill recently, dramatically.

I acquired this wireless HD extender kit for use in two applications:1. to mirror my computer display on a flat-screen TVThe first application was accomplished easily. I plugged the transmitter (TX) into my laptop and the receiver (RX) into a flat-screen TV. The effect was immediate; what was showing on my computer immediately transferred to the big screen. Before I powered the transmitter on, the receiver placed an image on the TV with a schematic showing possible setups and a QR code for additional information. I didn't need the assist but appreciated the gesture.2. to send audio/video from a camera (cinema camera in this case) to a computer and/or a monitor. My second application was far more complex but also turned out well (suprizingly so, I thought). This time, I connected the transmitter to a cinema camera to send the live feed to a computer monitor.I wasn't sure this would work, but it did so beyond my expectations.I awarded 5 stars (because the product seems that good), but should point out that it arrived missing the mini-HDMI and micro-HDMI adapters promised in the description of it. I needed the micro adapter, so had to purchase that separately.Overall, this wireless HDMI signal extender—comprised of powered transmitter and receiver units—was extremely easy to setup; I didn't need to use the manual and, so far, has worked flawlessly. I'm very happy with it.
