Definitely a work out, if you’re going to get it make sure you’ll use it, if not it’ll just be stored. It’s easy to set up and won’t take no more than a few seconds to set it up.

This pushup board has a LOT of positions where you can place the two hand grips. The various positions are color coded red, blue, yellow and green for triceps, pecs, back and shoulders, respectively. I honestly don't quite understand how the different hand positions target specific muscle groups, and there aren't any detailed instructions to explain that. However, the different positions are certainly useful. I know from experience that curling with a curl bar is very different from curling with a straight bar. You can feel the difference. I'm sure I will figure out the best grip positions for the exercises I want to do, so I'm not worried about the lack of documentation. The pushup counter works pretty well. It presses into the trapezoidal slot at the top of the unfolded board and counts up one every time you get within a few inches of it. So far, it has been very accurate for me. I do wish the counter clicked in a little more securely, but it's good as long as the board is flat on the floor. You get two elastic straps with handles that clip onto the outer edges of the pushup board. There are only the two, so you don't get to choose the resistance, but they're good for a warmup. The unit folds in half, which is how it arrived. This is a nice storage feature. Unfortunately, they didn't think about what to do with the counter device, which does not fold with the rest of the pushup board. I used the attached elastic straps to wrap around the folded board, which keeps it closed, and this provided a good place to tuck the counter. This isn't the most ideal storage configuration, but at least I can keep all the parts together. I would love to see a version of this that had spaces built in to hold the straps and counter.FYI, the dimensions in the ad image are in the wrong place, which should be obvious. The short dimension is 9", and the long dimension is 28".Overall, this is a very useful pushup board with more hand position options than you could possibly need. It is definitely going to help me commit to doing more pushups, since the grips relieve much of the wrist strain palms-on-the-floor pushups inflict.

This assistant push up is super easy to use. The cogs function well to get high reps in. I'm 150lbs with good push up form, sure that makes the difference between users. I did need to use small towels in the grips after awhile, they could be more squishy, although it's unclear to me if that feature would interfere with me form.
