I have the original foldback binder from the national brand, M**d F**e St**, and I don't like it because of the flimsy, poorly planned ring design. They open one ata time, so you need three or four hands to juggle it. Sadly, I was born with only two. I believe it was designed by someone who doesn't actually work old school, so it looked great in theory, but it's a whole other PITA entirely. It's difficult and awkward to move paper around, because the opening is at the back, instead of the front. Great idea, terrible execution.This binder is a far better design, and I like that the rings are not just glorified dollar store zip ties, and instead, open all at the same time, like traditional binders. It has all the best things of both worlds of a regular ring binder and "that other" brand but still uses metal rings. It's very comfortable to write with. I'm an old school writer, much like some of my authorial heroes, like Nelson deMille and JK Rowling. I am very much a methodical planner. So paper and pencil suits me just fine for 90 percent of my work. I only use a computer for polishing a final draft.I bought this binder for an upcoming trip, as I needed something that could fold back on itself, but still have the ability to move, and remove, and add pages. I'm using it in the chair, in the bed, pretty much EVERYWHERE. I really love it, and will need to order more. Getting rid of the clunky, overpriced fancypants brand. This outperforms it by a mile.I only wish it came in yellow, and in various capacities.

Flexible binder, but I wish the product had larger rings to support larger loads of paper/documents.

College students get this nowwwww!!!!!! WAAAAY better quality than the ugly flimsy five star one. The quality blew me away honestly. Very sturdy, but also very lightweight. Comes with really nice dividers and a few folders. The rings open at the same time. It lays very flat when you want to use it note book style for handwritten notes. I love it and I’m kicking myself for having dragged around a giant heavy binder all year instead of this 😅 also comes with a lot of notebook paper!! Some is already kindly inside the binder, and then the rest is neatly packaged in plastic. LOVE!!!!!!!!!

2 Reasons for rating a 3 star: (pictures included)1-I’ve owned many of this type/style binder (all have been fivestar) the main complaint is the rings don’t open in the center (when binder is open). As a result I can’t simply add anything to the back without multiple page falling out!2- it’s not a true 1” it’s closer to a 0.75” in the picture the white is a 1” binderGave it 3 stars vs 2 since the pocket features on the front cover are Amazing and really like the little pocket included with the dividers.Hope this helps.
