I bought this bowl back in December so not that long ago and today as I was mixing the hook snapped right off! You can see it wasn't welded on that well cause it was a clean break.

Alright, so here's the deal. My wife has been on this quest for the perfect mixing bowl for ages. She's always complaining about how her current bowls are too small, especially when she's whipping up a batch of her famous potato salad for family gatherings. So, when I saw this massive 7-quart stainless steel bowl, I figured, why not? It looked like it could handle just about anything she threw at it (literally). Now, here's the kicker: we don't actually own a stand mixer. I know, I know, it seems a bit odd to buy a mixer bowl without the mixer. But this thing is so much more than just a bowl. It's like a multi-purpose kitchen workhorse. My wife uses it for everything. Mixing dough, marinating meats, tossing salads, you name it. The size is perfect for big batches of food, and the stainless steel is sturdy and easy to clean. It even came with a lid, which is great for storing leftovers or keeping dough from drying out.The only thing I'm not crazy about is the handle. It's a bit small and not the most comfortable to grip, especially when the bowl is full. But hey, it's not a deal-breaker.Overall, I'm really glad I got this bowl. It's become an indispensable tool in our kitchen, and it's definitely earned a permanent spot on the counter. My wife is thrilled with it, and that's what matters most. Plus, it's kind of satisfying to see a bowl this big filled to the brim with delicious food. Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I hear that potato salad calling my name...

This is a fantastic and better mixing bowl then the one that came with my orginal kitchen aid mixer all these years ago. This is such a pretty bowl and I love the cover and slash gaurd. This has been used to mix up cookie batter, pizza dough, and so much more.It is super high quality.CAUTION: this bowl fits the bowl lift ones and not the regular tilt head mixers. I have both so I could have used it regardless.Overall this was such a good bowl to get and must have for any kitchen aid owner.

would recommend! great replacement bowl, or it you need an extra to mix something else before you wash your other. I love the splatter cover too!

My daughter recently gifted me with a Kitchen Aid Professional 600 mixer and I wanted to get a second mixing bowl to make cooking easier over the holidays this year. I like this mixing bowl very much, and chose it because of the included lids which will make cooking with it easier. I'm happy to report that this stainless steel mixing bowl is a perfect match for our Pro 600 model mixer. That said, I was surprised that the product details did not state this isn't compatible with a Kitchen Aid 6000 HD mixer, which I noted they clearly mention on the box.One thing to note, this bowl is about an inch taller than the Kitchen Aid bowl that came with the mixer, but the capacity is the same (so it is just not quite as wide I guess.) I love the plastic ring and round cover that helps you store things easily. The included plastic top-ring actually fits the OG Kitchen Aid bowl better than the bowl from this set. By that I mean it is easier to snap it on than compared to this bowl here, but you can certainly fit it on this bowl too.
