Our carafe is now 2 years old and has developed the same leak mentioned by many. Adhesive appears to have loosened and leaks when pouring. Very disappointing.

The carafe is thick enough that withstands shatter pretty well, in comparison to other glass carafes.

LEAKS!!! This is our 3rd replacement. They all leak. Come on, technivorm. You make an excellent coffee maker, we've owned 3, plus given them as gifts. But the 1.8L carafes are horrible. The smaller and thermos style are fine. This should be an easy design fix.

I purchased this holland made coffee pot years ago. I just broke the caraf. I immediately went to OLD FAITHFUL amazon and found another. Received it in only one day. I am so happy. People complain that this coffee maker is pricey,...............so what..... you deserve the absolute best........and this is it
