I stumbled across this string back in 2008 and have been hooked since. It gives excellent feel and power. I've been using it in my trusty Ti.Radical MP since that time as well which is an 18x20 string pattern (control orientated frame). I also use this NRG2 18 gauge as a hybrid with Hyper G 19 gauge. I use the NRG2 strung at max tension in the crosses and the Hyper G in the mains strung 4 lbs lower than max tension. This produces an excellent combination of control, feel and power. I don't break strings very often. This is a by-product of the 18x20 string pattern matched with higher stringing tensions so the strings don't move as much as an 16x19 pattern which means less breakage. For those that have heavy topspin, a 16x19 open pattern and string with lower tensions you're probably going to break these 18 gauge strings pretty fast. But for me, the strings will usually go dead before they break. I have my own stringer so I've been constantly searching for the perfect string and tension combo, and I think NRG2 (18) in the crosses and Hyper G (19) in the mains is my Holy Grail. I've even tried this same combination in the 17 gauge/17 gauge combo, and while I liked it, I like the higher gauge (18/19) better.For reference I am mainly a baseline hitter with a 4.5 rating.
