Tank came with a crack in it. Missed the return window due to this being purchased as a gift and did not check it (that’s on me). This may very well be a good product, but will never know. Box came in great condition so does not look to be damaged by shipper.

I've never owned any fish in my life because I am always concerned about the amount of work I need to do to maintain a tank. When I finally decided that I wanted a fish, I researched and found that betta fish can be a great starter fish because it requires least efforts. So I got this 1.5 gallon tank, which, according to most online reviews, is the minimum size requirement for a betta. I was a little worried because it only got 3.5 stars, but I think it has all the components that I need: filter, LED light, flat tank surface (for minimum view distortion) and style. I am so glad I got this. It's been a month and my betta is very happy in it, which in turn has made me really happy. I bought so many accessories (gravel, decorations, exercise equipment, assorted food varieties, toys, heater, live plants, thermometer, etc.) since I got my betta (so much for the minimum efforts LOL). I can see myself upgrade this 1.5 gallon tank to a 3 gallon tank in a couple of months and will get an even bigger one after I get more used to the cleaning and water changing routine. The only two negative things I can come up with regarding this tank is that the acrylic surface is easily scratched and the filter is a little strong for this small tank. But both of them can be remedied. To avoid scratches, you need to be careful not to clean the tank with abrasive sponges. I scratched my tank a little because when I gave the tank a sponge bath, didn't notice a small gravel was caught in between my sponge and the tank surface and I ended up creating a long scratches along the front (but it's ok. I am going to upgrade to a 3 gallon one soon). To reduce the strong current produced from the filter, I can always purchase another filter (there are plenty of recommendations of filter for small tanks on Amazon).I highly recommend this tank!

I have a number of Fluval glass tanks (Spec and Edges), and bought this as an isolation tank. I dropped in cuttings of a few low light plants, and just let it run. I seeded it with water from my existing tanks. It cycled quickly with that, and has turned into a nice looking little tank. I am really surprised. I added a small Tetra Aquarium heater , and most of it and the filter is hidden by plants and a rock. A small nano thermometer completes the set.I wish, I could add a picture. This is very suitable for small fish or a betta (it's current inhabitant). The filter is low flow only. As with all aquaria, feed sparingly - I only feed every 2-3 days, and only enough for them to feed 5 min. I also do a 30%-50% water change once a week.Caveats: this made of thin, styrene plastic, not a thick acrylic or glass. However, it is quite white and clear. It needs to be treated with care. Do not use a strong, abrasive algae cleaner (magnet), and do not clean with dry paper towels. I usually proactively manage algae by keeping clean water, and will use my hand to wipe any surface bacteria, while the tank is low after siphoning. I clean the outside with a damp cotton towel. I clean the cover under the faucet, and wipe dry also using damp towel. If you wipe dry dust with a towel, or worse, paper towel, the clear top will scratch. With this treatment, I have had the tank for three months, and it looks pristine and like new.The light is strong enough for a few, low light plants.I thought, it would end up in the back room, but I now keep it in my office in plain view...
