I was a little bummed out ... really wanted to love these because I have a similar one, that makes 4 little round Challah that is perfect 🥰 ... but unfortunately they are too flimsy on their own ... need to put in a loaf pan which I'm too lazy to do. The spread out like a glorified ribbed pancake ... and they don't Brown right ... see pics

It works great for egg white bread. You do need regular bread pans to put them in so they don't fall over though.

I admit I bought two of these small molds in complete laziness on my part for not wanting to actually braid my challah. KETO challah. ( used fatkitchenblog’s recipe, she is Keto-amazing!) They turned out nice! I read that you should take your challah out of the mold about halfway through and flip it over so the braided part can brown. My first time trying the mold, I didn’t do this so the braided part didn’t brown as much but it didn’t take away from the taste. I will be ordering the large sized mold soon so I can make adult-sized sandwiches. The small mold gives you child-sized slices.
