These eyes are great for knitters/crocheters/seamstresses who want to use something other than black eyes. There are multiple colors, and they look great on the creations on which I placed them. The backs hold the eyes tightly, but I would NOT use ANY safety eyes on a product going to a young child who is in the "put things in the mouth" stage. Kids tend to be able to pull out the eyes of knit/crochet items, despite the "safety feature."

I’ve ordered these eyes 6 or 7 times now because I can’t find anything better with these colors. Every time I’m disappointed with how many defective eyes I get- and it is hard to see with the lighting in the photo but I can’t fix the eyes with the defects inside of them. I can sand off the sharp plastic that is left on the edges of many of them, which I also think is too many. It would also be nice if we could order a quantity of just one of the colors so that the defect rate would be less of an issue. If I only need the gold and two pairs are not useable it’s frustrating. Don’t order these if you’re expecting not to have to clean and sand them and throw away defects.
