It’s about a year old and works great. But the rubber is a little soft and wears fast in Presta Valve mode. Now it continuously leaks air. Hard to measure air on a Presta valve.

I've had 3 of the older D2 models that withstood daily use for years and survived lots of abuse. I went to the D2X a couple of years ago when managed to break on of my two remaining D2's (my fault). Everything is a compromise but I find the shape of the D2X better for on bike/jersey pocket storage. Accuracy is good across normal low to high pressure range for bike & auto applications and the 0.1 psi readout is a necessity in my mind. I've done back to back measurements with multiple gauges, calibration seems to be good. Operation is dead easy and the ability to bleed air down to desired pressure with continuous readout is really the best in my view. Seal on various valves has been good, battery life is great, durability has been excellent as well. I just purchased a second one to replace my last remaining D2 as I keep on in my on bike bag and one in my shop tool box. It is a bit pricey but my experience with Topeak gear generally has been excellent, good design, operation, durability.

I have a garage full of products that are air filled and have either a presta or schrader valve. This gauge supports both and provides a very quick and accurate digital read that is large enough to see without my glasses. What is really nice is the button that allows you to release air from the tire or device while still keeping the gauge attached to the valve. This makes for easy fine tuning to the desired pressure. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it.

Please read my review of this Topeak D2X SmartGauge. The review there is fairly extensive:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B096CH8RK6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1#customerReviewsIt took me 3 purchases to actually find one that is accurate against a professional ISO approved pressure gauge. I think the quality control of these units are questionable. But once you get one that is accurate, it's really the luxury of pressure gauges. Please note that I actually returned this one I bought from Amazon.ca because it was slightly off by +/-0.5psi as compared to the Jaco digital pressure gauge. Also, it didn't come packaged with a plastic screen protector and seemed used already. Otherwise, the slightly off pressure reading is within 1psi and tolerable, especially for tubeless tire setup.

This is my initial review. The Topeak Smartgauge D2X right out of the box is pretty fancy. It's light and fits in the hand nicely. The reading on the display is really nice. The pressure reading is easy and fast.I tested this pressure gauge against my trusted Joe Racing 32307 pressure gauge. It's the pressure gauge that seems to be really consistent and matches up with the pressures I get from Costco and other tire stores and also from other handheld gauges I had. I tested the Topeak Smartgauge with a shrader valve bike tire at 45psi, 40psi, 35psi, 30psi, 25psi, and 20psi. What I find interesting is that it is 4-5psi higher readings than the Joe Racing's reading. Also, I tested on one of my car tires with initial reading of 32psi on the Joe Racing. The Topeak one comes out around 36psi. I lowered the pressure to 30psi and the Topeak reads 34-34.5psi. I really don't know which one is actually accurate at the moment. I brought out another Amazon Chinese pressure gauge and it was 1-2psi to the Topeak but the Topeak gauge is consistently higher than any other pressure gauge. So, if you're using this for cars, you may be lower in pressure by 4-5psi. That means, if you're supposed to have 32psi, you'll be under inflating at 28psi on the tires. I'd rather have slightly over inflated tires than under inflated tires. For mountain bike tires, this doesn't really matter as long as the pressure reading is consistent.I've contacted Topeak to see if this pressure gauge can be re-calibrated. However, I have returned the Topeak D2X Pressure Gauge in exchange for another one from Amazon. My initial review is 3-stars due to the large variances.Update: June 17, 2022---------------------------This is the review of the replacement Topeak Smartgauge D2X from Amazon after the first one I got seemed kind of off. So, in order to really test this gauge for accuracy, I bought the Jaco ElitePro Digital Tire Pressure Gauge 100psi version. This pressure gauge is certified to +/-0.50%FS (0.5PSI) with ANSI 2A standards. So, this means my pressure reading should be quite accurate on this go around with the Topeak Smartgauge D2X.First test with the Joe's Racing gauge: 32psiTopeak Smartgauge D2X: 35psi- still seems 3psi offTesting with the pressure gauges:Joe's Racing: 31.8psiJaco ElitePro Digital: 34.8psiTopeak Smartgauge D2X: 34.5Allstar (Chinese pressure gauge up to 45psi): 34.8psi- The readings were consistent through all the pressure gauges with multiple readingsSo, having the comparison with the Jaco ElitePro Digital Pressure Gauge as the standard, it showed that the Topeak Smartgauge D2X is actually quite accurate to +/-0.3psi of the Jaco. My Joe's Racing is about 2psi off but it is very consistent in the readings. After this update, I give this Topeak D2X Smartgauge 4-stars. 1-star of for being extremely pricey.Note: For those who says that the accuracy of the pressure gauge is only as good as its consistency. That's only as good as saying it's accurate but you don't know if it is or not. Just like I trusted my Joe's Racing pressure gauge for years as the readings are repeatable on a car tire on each reading. However, now that I've tested this against a certified Jaco ElitePro digital pressure gauge that is accurate to 0.5psi, I can tell whether the pressure gauges are actually accurate or not, especially if I use it on car tires. Bike tires, probably not so much but even then when you're running ultra low pressures for fat bike tires, even a fraction around 8psi might make a difference.Update July 27, 2022-------------------------I received another new Topeak D2X Smartgauge and did another round of tests against the certified JACO ElitePro digital pressure gauge. The results were repeatable for both pressure gauges and they were matching each other dead on. So, I'm very pleased.
