Should the Low Beam remain on when the High Beam is activated? I noticed when i switch from Low to High Beam, my Low beam turns off. - Installed in my TJ Wrangler.*UPDATE*Just finished adjusting these lights, wiring up the DLR's and the turn signals to my TJ Wrangler. Extremely pleased!

These are great, install is a bit more complicated if you don't have a model with DRL. Had to run a wire through the firewall and into the passenger compartment fuse panel, but honestly worth the hours work. They look great! Make sure aim these properly, they are SO bright! On a lifted TJ I still get people flashing me all the time who think I'm running high beams, when I'm not!

I installed on a 1977 International Scout. I did have to slightly modify the OEM can bases that hold the sealed beams to accommodate these larger, bulkier headlights. Nothing a few minutes with a jig saw and Dremel can’t handle. Otherwise these fit well and did not interfere with full aim adjustment.I’d bet therefore these could fit GM, Ford, other US vehicles of that era with similar can bases. These are twice as bright and at 36 watts low beam, 39 high they pull ~ half the power of traditional incandescent filament sealed beams. Big difference! The DRLs are primary reason I bought these. They are very bright (almost too bright?).I don’t intend to use the amber turn signal feature. The pigtails for these 2 connections do seem kinda dinky. The lights overall seem to be very well built. Feel like quality. Time will tell. They shipped in a very nice padded box with items nestled in high density foam. Good marketing or a good sign of some level of quality? Don’t know but I took that as possible good quality. They are made in China. In my case the removable vent caps are not useful as the rear of these units are just not accessible (in my 4x4) without removal.I do worry about rock chip damage. If one fails or is damaged I’d have to buy another set of 2. Will these things even be around then?? Not going down to auto parts store to pickup a replacement :-(I’ll consider a wire grill style headlight guard once popular in days gone by.Warranty??? Not at all clear how to register or pursue a claim. FYI. Other reviews indicate good support from vendor.Note I did contact/email Torchbeam for some info and was impressed with a very quick response.
