Great frisbee! So fun to throw and you actually have time to catch it. It's so soft, you never hurt your fingers. A few tips -- would recommend the camo pattern because my blue one sure has gotten dirty! Don't get it wet as it won't fly as well. And keep away from dogs as the foam can easily tear.

This is one of the best flying disc toys I've ever had the pleasure to use. It's very much like a Frisbee except that it's soft and easier to catch- so you can play with it anywhere.. even inside if your room is big enough. It's great for little kids because even a direct hit to the head doesn't hurt a bit- which is great for smaller kids with undeveloped reflexes. It flies a pretty good distance but not as far as a Frisbee; but that's not what it's trying to be. I wouldn't throw a hard Frisbee at my three year old daughter but this thing- no reservations- it's even funny when it bounces off you or a nearby object. We purchased about 20 of these flying hoops as party favors for my son's birthday party and the kids went crazy for them. They come in different sizes but we've only ever used the 16 inch models. Definitely a good toy for kids (and the big kids (parents) too).

I suppose if you really wanted to harm someone with this, you could, but for normal play, this is a nice, padded disc for kids to learn to throw. The center hole gives even more options for them to catch it, and the stretchy spandex material means my 5-year-old is not jamming his fingers trying to catch this. It flies well. You wouldn't want to try to play Ultimate with it, but it's stable and nice for a casual game of catch.P.S.: the center hole is apparently just smaller than the circumference of my brother's head. I tried to attach an animated GIF, but it got converted to a static jpg :(

I got this for my brother who's in the military and lives far away and loves frisbees and other flying devices. We always talked about getting a giant frisbee as teens, but never got around to it. So this was a nod to our procrastination all those years ago.He called me up ecstatic as soon as it arrived and reported it was the most fun he'd had in a while. He likes throwing it to his German Shepard, who is super gentle, but still this means that the Beamo can withstand exposure to big dogs. A few weeks ago when I visited him, we had a catch and it lived up to my brother's praise. We're both experienced with heavy Ultimate-grade frisbees and frolf disks, so it took some adjustment to be able to throw this thing. But once I got it down, it was a lot of fun. It performs well with tricks like hammer throws and throwing around your back, and these can be done safely (without breaking anyone's face). While this is basically a toy for kids, don't let anyone tell you that a 275 lb military musclehead can't have fun with it too. I can also imagine that it'd be a lot safer to use in public parks or beaches (where college hippies often mess around with plastic disks and accidentally ruin picnics with bad throws).
