I had a bit of a set up problem, followed the links to the online support, within 10 minutes Rommel had increased the upload speed considerably... which is exactly what I needed. I know the screen grabs show about 45 minutes, but I didn't call in for a bit. So far so good with this router... doing exactly what I need.

This router is one of the best on the market in its price range. It has a ton of options and the latest technology. It has far reaching signal. Quality build and doesn't get hot. Very easy to set up. The tether app is a must as it gives you full control of all the routers features. I am very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend this product.

This replaced an older router that was used mostly to connect home automation smart devices. It is configured as an access point. Every device connected and is working well. My main problem is administration of it. I haven't been able to access it administratively since it was setup. Neither the URL nor the IP address works. I can ping it, but it won't respond to web browser access. I've gone through all the troubleshooting and everything failed, including clearing the cache and history. It also won't respond to a direct Ethernet connection. I've contacted support, but have only received automated responses that don't address the issue. At this point, I believe the only way to administer it would be to reset it to factory defaults and start over. I believe it was a mistake to configure it as an access point. So, my other option may be to reset this and buy an actual access point.4 stars overall because it works well other than the inability to administer it as an access point.5 stars for WiFi signal because it connects much better than the previous router.2 stars for tech support because I'm still hoping I'll get help.1 star for user interface because I haven't seen the user interface since the initial setup.November 15th 2024 Update: I'm still frustrated by how hard it is to administer this device. I going to buy different brand router. I just can't do anything with this one.

I have been using this as an access point for a week or two, but power blinked today and had to mess with computers and drive arrays, so finally made the jump to having just this router today. (I didn't feel like duplicating all the port forwards, so it was easier to use it as access point for a testing period first.)Everything went fine, and I got the usual speed-ups you get from going from Wifi5 to Wifi6. My servers are hard-wired downstairs on a switch, and I connect upstairs using Wifi. My speeds to the web went from 60-80mpbs to around 400. Definitely faster now, but I ran into a weird issue. After turning on a port forward for a file server (using an unusual port), I couldn't reach the server from the WAN. Inside the LAN was fine, and the machine had internet without issue. The box used a static IP and even though I didn't see that IP address in the client list, once I put the IP reservation in, the router interface populated the name of the server, so it was aware of its presence.Having tried everything else, I rebooted the server and edited the port forward rule, but instead of typing in the IP address, I used the "connected devices" button, which now contained the server due to its recent reboot. The field was re-populated with the EXACT SAME STRING, and I deleted the optional inside port number before saving, and saved the rule. Suddenly, the server was reachable. The one-line summary in the list of port forwarding rules was identical to what it was before.Moral of the story : if you create a port forward rule, make sure you reboot the box first and use the connected devices button, because typing in the exact same thing manually didn't work for me.
