Not a tech guru here and was worried that I wouldn't be able to install this properly. However, it was a breeze installing this and worked wonderfully, massively improved the wifi coverage in my house.

Performance IssuesWhile the signal strength appeared strong throughout my home, the actual performance was disappointingly slow. Here are the major issues I faced:Speed Drops: The main node connected to the modem performed decently, but as I connected to secondary or tertiary nodes, the speeds dropped dramatically. Simple tasks like streaming 1080p videos or video conferencing became frustratingly laggy.Latency Problems: Online gaming was out of the question due to significant ping spikes. Even web browsing occasionally experienced delays, making it feel like I was back in the early days of broadband.Inconsistent Handovers: Moving between nodes didn’t result in the seamless handoff the system advertised. Often, my devices clung to a far-away node instead of switching to a closer one, leading to slower speeds and dropped connections.Troubleshooting and SupportI tried everything to improve the performance: relocating nodes, resetting the system, and tweaking settings, but nothing seemed to resolve the sluggish speeds. The customer support was polite but ultimately unhelpful, suggesting obvious fixes that I’d already tried.ConclusionThis mesh network system might work for those with minimal internet usage or smaller homes, but for anything requiring reliable and fast connectivity, it’s a poor choice. For the price, I expected far better performance. I’d recommend looking into higher-quality alternatives or even sticking with a single, high-powered router for smaller spaces.Rating: 2/5Great idea, poor execution. Its slow speeds defeat the purpose of having a mesh system in the first place. Save your money and invest in a proven option.

I recently upgraded my home network with the TP-Link Deco AX3000 WiFi 6 Mesh System (Deco X50), and it has completely transformed my online experience. As someone who relies heavily on a stable and fast internet connection, the Deco X50 has exceeded my expectations in every way.The setup process was a breeze. The Deco app guided me through each step, making the installation seamless and hassle-free. In no time, I had the entire system up and running, providing expansive coverage throughout my home. The days of dead zones and weak signals are now a thing of the past. With this mesh system, every corner of my house enjoys strong and consistent WiFi, ensuring that my family and I stay connected, whether we are working in the study or streaming movies in the living room. The WiFi 6 technology in the Deco X50 is a significant upgrade. I've noticed a substantial improvement in network speeds and capacity. Multiple devices can connect simultaneously without any noticeable dip in performance, which is remarkable considering the number of gadgets we use at home. From smart TVs to laptops, everything runs smoothly, making for a truly connected smart home experience. The Deco X50 also boasts advanced features like parental controls and Quality of Service (QoS) settings, which allow me to manage my network effectively. I appreciate the peace of mind that comes with having control over internet access and prioritizing bandwidth for essential tasks.I'm currently contemplating subscribing to TP-Link's paid plan for enhanced network protection. The basic security features are already impressive, providing robust protection against cyber threats. However, the advanced options available in the paid plan are tempting, promising an even higher level of security and additional functionalities. While I'm still weighing my options, the potential for even greater network management and safety is an enticing prospect. In conclusion, the TP-Link Deco AX3000 WiFi 6 Mesh System (Deco X50) is an outstanding investment for anyone looking to elevate their home network. Its performance, ease of use, and advanced features make it a top-notch solution for modern connectivity needs. I'm thoroughly impressed and satisfied with my purchase – it's a game-changer in home networking!

Pros:-Great wireless internet speed on both Wifi 5 & 6.-Large range covering about 6500sqft throughout house.-Router and satellite units are compact.Cons:-Setup took much longer than expected, repeating steps.-Constantly cutting out internet, instability.-Deco app is not reliable for locating exact issues.-Wired backhaul does not work through house ethernet wires.-Costly for mesh router system with many problems.Full review: This pack of three Deco X50 units comes in a medium sized box, and was quick to deliver to my residence. After setting it up through the Deco app and connecting it to my modem/router with bridge mode turned on, which took a few tries due to the main unit suddenly disconnecting for no reason, the light on it turned green and it worked, spreading my internet range to the entire house, compared to the one I received from my ISP. Afterwards, I placed the other two units on the same upstairs floor, both in opposite sides of the house using wireless backhaul. They as well, took a few tries, but worked after that. One day later, some of my devices, including my laptop began to experience internet stability issues, in which I checked to see if there was any hidden settings that would affect it. The setting was called bandforming, which increased wireless speeds on both Wifi 5 & 6 dramatically, but caused issues with connectivity for devices with older Wifi cards. After turning the setting off, the stability issues disappeared.Since wireless backhaul is definitely not as fast as wired backhaul, I tried to use the house's preinstalled ethernet cables that run throughout, to connect the router unit in the basement by ethernet to the upstairs' floor two satellite units. After connecting all sides, the two satellite units stopped being a stable green colour, and began to blink red with the inability to even connect to the router unit. However, after disconnecting them from ethernet, and restoring all units to connectivity by wireless backhaul, they turned back into a green colour and worked. So if one desires to wired backhaul all three units through house ethernet wires, there is a chance it will not work.As I refunded the mesh router system, I never attempted to try connecting all three by wired backhaul without running them through the house wires. This will most likely work, but I do not recommend it for houses with many floors, since there would have to be an ethernet cable running up the against stairs or wall into the higher floors.A week later, after setting up the Deco X50s, the internet portion of the router suddenly shut off for no reason, while the Wifi could still be connected to. As occasionally there can be internet shutdowns caused by my ISP, I assumed that it was just the same occurrence, and after about an hour it would turn back on. However, after waiting about two to three hours, I observed that there was still no internet connectivity available in the Deco X50s' Wifi, to which I disconnected it and placed my modem/router back into router mode. To my surprise, it was not the ISP, or the modem/router that caused the internet problems, it was the Deco X50s. As a last resort, I tried to re-setup the whole Deco system again, and connect them all again, but this time the internet on the units did not work at all. In the end, I refunded the whole package.Overall, although this system may seem great at first, with high speeds and good range, eventually with time there will begin to be stability issues that can be devastating to those who require complete constant internet connectivity. My personal experience will most likely not happen to every person, but those who are considering this product should acknowledge that these problems can occur. TP-Link is still a reputable brand, and their products are of high quality, but this specific model of their Deco mesh router system lineup should not be considered when purchasing a mesh router.
