Overall, This is an excellent choice for a WiFi 7 mesh system. Setup isn’t difficult, The instructions are clear, and the speeds are great right out of the box. When you set up the units, There are several options on how to use the 6 GHz network, Including using it as a dedicated backhaul band to get the best speeds without Ethernet connecting the units together. My speeds on a Gigabit Frontier Fiber plan are wonderful, and I’m getting the full 1000/1000 wired, and around 850 - 900 on Supported WiFi devices only using the 2.4/5ghz band with devices, and using 6Ghz for backhaul (I think this would be the best utilization for most people). Wired backhaul will almost always be better if you are wired for it though. Some things to note are that each Mesh gateway has Four 2.5 gigabit ports, and a USB port for network storage, something you don’t see much anymore. Each point also has a WPS button. So no more fiddling with the app to add devices that are hard to use a password with (ie Printers)The app is Solid and easy to understand, All of your standard settings are easily accessible, along with things like Port reservations or DNS settings for more advanced or business users.Just like all other Deco devices I’ve owned, the range is excellent and as advertised, and all of my Outdoor smart home devices like Cameras, Lights, Speakers, and Timers work perfectly. Now to the bad part, One thing with these newer High Power and High performance systems is extreme interface with other consumer electronics. The 2.4 and 5 GHz channel that was auto selected by the router Interfered with My DirecTV Wireless Genie devices, Rendering them almost useless, And caused some Bose and Samsung wireless Subwoofers to Cut in and out. This was easily fixed by adjusting the WiFi Channel Manually, Which actually increased my speeds too. This wasn’t an issue with my Prior Deco X20 system or my Eero Pro 6 system. (I think there might be a difference with how these devices Choose a WiFi channel). I’d recommend looking up how to mess with these settings before you mess with them though. If I didn’t have a networking background I probably would’ve gotten stuck and returned these, so it’s something to keep in mind, but not something to worry about. Your bound to have some issues with almost 70 WiFi devices in a home.I’d definitely recommend this system, I just wish it was more affordable, Especially since I needed to by 4 of these and they don’t bundle them as more than three with discounted pricing.

Excelente sistema de malla. Lo use para sustituir mi Deco M3 y se nota la diferencia además de que tiene mayor cobertura. Muy recomendable.

I purchased the 3-pack of BE63 devices to replace an Asus Mesh network. The Asus had supported us well until an early March release of firmware caused the router and mesh nodes to go offline often. A FW update released in late March was supposed to address the issue, but the issue remained and my router dropped offline often. I sought assistance from Asus and was given the old "let's reset everything and start from scratch" approach - something I didn't want to do as I knew the issues would remain.I took a deep dive with these TP-Link Deco units. They're not cheap but offer WiFi 7, which will "future proof" my setup for the foreseeable future. Most of what I've read and reviewed indicate these are a breeze to setup. That wasn't the case for me. I setup one of the devices as the main router. After repeated retries to find the Deco with my Android device it was finally detected. It took another few attempts for the Deco to "see" the internet. It eventually connected and I saved the WiFi information to my phone as part of the setup.Setting up the additional two nodes was a piece of cake - they simply needed to be plugged in and allowed to boot and were eventually detected by the app on the phone. But that's when the fun began. NO OTHER wireless clients would connect. They'd either indicate the network password was incorrect (I repeatedly checked the setting to ensure we were using the correct one) or that it simply couldn't connect to the network. I chatted with a Deco technician who eventually recommended resetting the Deco router and nodes, choosing one of the satellite nodes to be the main router, uninstalling and then reinstalling the Deco app. These steps worked. Clients were able to connect to all three points of access. An FW update was detected by the app and applied to all 3 devices in about 5 - 8 minutes time.A couple of notes. I used the same SSID with this new network as I had with the Asus network, the thinking being that wireless clients would automatically connect once the network was back up (and eventually accessible). During setup, however, I learned that setup mandated an 8-character minimum password. My previous password, while strong, was only 7-positions in length. This necessitated visiting every wireless client to update the network password for each. These include several Ring cameras, a Ring Chime Pro, several smart bulbs and 5 Bose Soundtouch devices (the Bose units were really "fun" to reconnect). During my chat with tech support I asked if there was any way to suppress the 8-character minimum but, alas, there isn't one.Network speed is impressive. I've got Verizon FiOS with 1Gb up & down. Wireless clients (none of which support WiFi 7 (yet)) exceeded 900Mb up & down. Speed can only improve as WiFi 7 devices are added to the network and Verizon eventually offers speeds exceeding 1Gbps.Signal strength from all clients is strong, indicating my coverage is good. I'm looking for a heat map application that I can use to determine actual coverage. All in all, I'm pleased with network performance, but setup (in my case, anyway) was not as advertised.Recommended!

I'll be honest, I was not sure about this whole mesh stuff even after my IT guy recommended it to me with the house we live in. It's a 120 year old 2 story with a downstairs laundry room that has plaster walls and chicken wire. He said it would make a big difference. So I did some research. I seen all the reviews on the BE63's and bought them. They are perfect! So easy to set up and after I learned to use the backhaul, I wouldn't have it any other way!! I bought the 3 pack to start out and then added a 4th one for a downstairs laundry room.I remembered I had landscaping lights outside so I ordered the X50. I backhauled it to our living room and they work great!I'm over the moon about these. We have slowly been adding wifi switches, lights, and various other devices through the last couple of years and these Deco's haven't had any issues keeping up. I recently added wifi blinds and for the the blinds I already had, I bought Sunsa wands that are wifi.We are now running over a 100 wifi devices and our Deco's haven't missed a beat. That's saying something considering we live in a rural area!!

This thing exceeded my expectations. I had one centrally placed router (archer ax3000) in our living room that provided decent coverage downstairs and upstairs in our 1500 square foot home. Of course some bandwidth was lost upstairs where my kid games in his room sometimes. I bought this deco 3 pack and put one right where the old router was, I put the other in my sons room upstairs and hardwired it. Then I put the 3rd on my back porch. I now have full fast wifi downstairs, upstairs and all throughout my back yard. My gaming pc hooked up to the main node via Ethernet now hits 1300 mbs whereas the old router only got up to about 950. So in addition to better coverage , it’s also just plain faster. Breeze to set up too. Plus I got it on a steep spring sale and also got a special 20% back with my amazon card so it came out to less than 350.00.

My CR1000A Verizon router broke. I upgraded from G3100 for speed reasons but G3100 was so stable. Not a week after my friend 's CR1000A broke, mine did too. I was frustrated without Internet. Most routers are so ugly and distasteful with so many antenna looking like a UFO about to take off. All my furniture were white so I didn't have a whole lot of options. My initial choice was Google Nest but it was so basic even though it looks good. So I opted for this good rated one. It's half the size of my Verizon router. I love that white cylinderical look. The LED indicator of green saying connection to internet and red saying disconnected is just so helpful. Now, I'm happy with the purchase for my use. I have a small place so mesh is not necessary. In fact, I might return it if I needed mesh. My friend has Google Nest and it runs smoothly. Deco was causing issues because mesh was on. I read forums and found that it's a known issue so I went into all my devices and turned off mesh mode. It was trying to find the best signal for me and if I'm moving away from the router/node, it was dropping connection. I cannot say if this issue is no longer there if there's another node. For me, as only using a single node, it was necessary for me to turn off mesh mode individually in all my wifi devices. If you are having problems with this as a single node, try turning off mesh mode and 'fast roaming'.If you have hard wire switches throughout your house, make sure you power cycle them. I was scratching my head trying to troubleshoot why my wired speed were 1/3 of what it should be. Power cycling the switches fixed it. Wireless speed is amazing. There's no drop in speed. It's exactly the speed I subscribed from my ISP.Another upside to this router is that it has 2.5gbps LAN ports. My house is wired in CAT 6 and 7 so I can take advantage of this except I'll need to upgrade my switches, NAS and computer NIC, lol. For the premium price I paid, it should have been 10 gbps LAN because even the Verizon CR1000A has 10 gbps LAN. I don't get why 10 gbps LAN tp-link routers are above $500. Unbelievable. Wait a few years I guess. With Verizon, I used to have to use a desktop web browser to manage my network which I didn't know was so outdated. I can now do all of that from Deco app on my phone. It's so intuitive and didn't need a whole lot of learning or prior knowledge. I love this Deco app. I can see all my clients, separate IoT network for my wifi light switches, reserve DHCP address, block, isolate clients, etc. all on my phone. That's so convenient.I tried chat support with Deco support. I had a pleasant experience. Didn't have to wait too long. The support guy made sense and knew what he was saying.Bottom line: It looks good and it works great once the mesh mode is turned off in single-node configuration. It's $100 more expensive than what I wanted to spend on but I didn't have a lot of options for white routers that looks great, works great, and fast.
