It doesn't sit right, and shifts around a little, and the focus ring is hard to use, but the picture quality makes up for the annoyances in build quality. Id.buy it again

As a lifetime lover of photography I always enjoy trying out new and unique lenses, and there is nothing more unique than a 7.5mm fisheye lens. Obviously this is a specialty lens that you won't be using for every photograph, but you can make some really amazing images with it in the right circumstances. The f/2 maximum aperture is unheard of in such a wide lens. While it allows more possibilities of using the lens in low light situations, you need to remember that all lenses are at their least sharp when shooting wide open. The quality at f/2 is acceptable for some scenes, but it doesn't give the kind of images you would make poster-sized prints from.Stopped down a bit from f/2, the lens is surprisingly sharp in the middle of the image, and I really like how the focus falls off towards the edges. When you compose your shots with these limitations in mind, you can use that focus fall-off to effectibely draw the viewer's eye to the subject.I have never seen a super wide angle lens at such a low price, yet this TTARTISAN 7.5mm performs like a much more expensive lens.

I'm big fan of TTArtisan, using many of their lenses on my various cameras. I recently got my hands on this TTArtisan 7.5mm f/2 fisheye lens and it's been a delightful addition to my photography gear. Like other fisheye lenses, it's not really a lens you would use every day, but if used wisely you have many creative possibilities. The f/2 aperture makes it usable in low light, and is approx equal to f/2.8 fisheyes on fullframe. The build quality feels solid, like always with TTArtisan. Note it's a fully manual lens, but if you shoot on some middle aperture you basically can ignore focusing and have it prefocused at all times. The center sharpness is always great, the corners can be a bit soft, but stopping down helps improve that. I think for the price it's an excellent value, if you don't mind it's APS-C only... I'm using it on fullframe R mount camera, in APS-C mode, therefore I lose a bit of the resolution, and there are not many R mount APS-C cameras; but you can also use it on full sensor, it's just covering just circular shape of image, and best used with the FOV limiter through the provided two piece lens cap. That's basically my main or only complaint... if it was FF, it would have been much bigger, but also attractive for many more people, as the FF R mount cameras are more popular.

I recently picked up the TTARTISAN 7.5mm F2.0 APS-C Fisheye Lens for my Canon EOS R camera, and it has completely transformed my photography. The 180° angle of view is absolutely amazing, giving every shot a unique and immersive perspective. Whether I’m shooting landscapes, architecture, or even indoor settings, the fisheye effect adds an exciting and creative twist. The large F2.0 aperture is perfect for low-light conditions, providing sharp and clear images even in dim environments. The build quality is top-notch for the price. The lens feels solid and sturdy, with smooth focus adjustments and a well-crafted metal body. Despite its robust design, it’s still fairly compact and easy to handle, which makes it great for traveling or on-the-go shoots. I’ve used it in various settings, including street photography, and the results are consistently impressive. The image quality is sharp across the frame, and the bokeh is smooth when focusing on close-up subjects, adding depth to my shots. If you’re looking for a fisheye lens that delivers both quality and creativity, the TTARTISAN 7.5mm F2.0 is a fantastic choice. It’s affordable, offers exceptional performance, and opens up new possibilities for creative photography. I highly recommend it for Canon RF-mount users who want to explore the world of fisheye photography!

I've been very please with this TTARTISAN fisheye F2.0 lens. The fitment is perfect on my Canon R50, and connects just as smoothly as my TTASRTISAN 35MM lens (which was the first aftermarket lens I bought for it ~2 years ago) and my Canon RF and RF-EF adapters.Build Quality:The build quality of this lens is very good. The metal is very high quality, though a bit on the heavy side. The front lens cap fits on snugly, yet is easy to slide off when needed. The rear lens cap is sort of specific to this lens. The OEM canon rear lens caps fit too loosely, so keep that in mind....Useability:I really like the aperture and focus rings. The aperture ring is quite close to the body of the camera, but its not a huge deal. It does have nice subtle detents/clicks when adjusting. The focus ring is heavy but smooth. I actually like the heavy weight of it, you won't "accidentally" change it. This lens only works as a manual focus lens, and turning on the in camera feature to show the little red dots for the areas in focus is a huge help. Given the focal length, if you are shooting at f4 or higher and shooting a landscape, you will have the focus at it's maximum setting for 99% of the time. Closeups you will need to adjust.Picture Clarity:I find the picture clarity to be quite useable. Given how wide the image is, when you zoom in things will get blurry, it's just taking in too much picture. But when you look at the image in its full form, the quality is respectable for a sub-$200 lens. This is a lens I won't use all the time, but it's a nice piece of kit to have for certain circumstances. I've attached a couple indoor and outdoor photos under different circumstances. I haven't had a chance on a clear, not frigid night to get pictures of some stars, but I'm looking forward to trying it out!In my opinion, I feel like TTArtisan has up'd their build quality a bit on this. It's a good manual focus lens for cameras like the R50, R100, R8, etc... Not sure how it would hold up on the demanding R7, but I have no problem recommending this lens for the RF APS-C cameras.
