These are very cool looking espadrilles, and I am going to give them a chance to stretch out. I ordered a half size larger and the length is fine. However, the width...well, right now they're a bit like foot corsets. Here's hoping they stretch out.

Being totally honest I think that they are doing a disservice to themselves by advertising these as mens only shoes. I’m a female and I actually really like these Ubuntu Life Handmade Canvas Espadrille Shoes!Granted I definitely took the advise of the other reviews and sized up. I usually wear a size 9 in mens shoes and 11 in womens shoes. I ended up getting these in a size 10 mens, and I’m really glad I went up two sizes instead of just one because the 10 fits perfectly. So you definitely want to go up 2 sizes above what you normally wear, and if you want a looser fit then 3 sizes.Now there is an issue, these run really narrow. As I said I am a female and I actually usually buy narrow shoes and have slimmer feet. I almost could not even get my feet into these shoes, and when I finally did they were tighter than any high heels I have ever worn. But I stuck with it and wore them for a few hours a day for 5 days and by the end they fit great and we’re perfectly molded to my feet. It was uncomfortable having my toes squished for a few hours each day, but it worked out in the end! I do want to say though that I’m not sure how far these would actually stretch out of you do have even slightly wider feet. Honestly I don’t think they would actually stretch to accommodate that much.One other thing worth mentioning is these have zero arch support. That’s not an issue for me since I don’t have feet issues or a high arch, but if you do you may want to skip these. They are more like a flat board on the bottom.The quality of these is great and you can definitely tell that they are made with care and quality materials. And they also came in a super cute storage bag with im assuming is the name of the person that made them on a tag in the bag, which is a super cute touch. Overall they ultimately worked out very well for me, but I would be aware of all the other things stated in this review because they are definitely not going to be a good fit for everyone.

I was so excited to order and try these shoes as they look very stylish for hot summer days. After reading some of the earlier reviews I ended up ordering size 11, although my size is 10. It was still too small. Amazon's amazing service would replace them for you but I wanted you to be aware.The construction feels solid and the stitching is strong. Fabric is very stiff and overall the shoes are very bottom-heavy.I sincerely hope that you will find my review helpful.

I liked the cream colored ones and thought they looked like a women's shoe so I ordered these for myself. I usually wear a size 8 in women and ordered these in a size 8 men's. I love the way these look and they are made well with heavy duty canvas. These don't quite fit me in the length but are narrow enough that they fit me in the width. My husband wears a men's 8 and these don't quite fit him so I think most men would need to size up unless you have narrow feet.Otherwise, these have a heavy duty rubber sole and have the comfort I expect in a canvas shoe. I like that they come in a bag instead of a box. I can't find anything I dislike about these.
