So the basket is 10 inches deep and 13 1/2 inches wide. It was very easy to install and it locks into place. I am just not happy with the size of the basket, I need something more bigger and roomy for my dog. He is about 12 pounds and too tall for my liking. The basket does sit on the handle bars and is very sturdy and also has the built in draw string inside it. Overall its a very cool and convenient basket.

Ce panier est comme je le voulais. Mon chat adore faire des promenades. Il pèse 18 lb et il a 2 ans.J'ai placé une laisse enroulé sur les poignées car il n'a pas d'attache à l'intérieur. C'est le seul détail . Facile à monter. Il y a une pochette en avant. J'ai placé une serviette dans le fond pour que cela soit plus moelleux et confortable. Je suis bien satisfaite de mon achat.

Love, love, love this! I was looking for a basket for my dog and found this. I read the reviews and decided to try. It's made really well and is sturdy. Mine did not have instructions but I was able to figure out how to assemble it. My 4 lb dog couldn't get enough of it and the draw string top secured her in so she couldn't just hop out - not that a she tried but it did give me extra comfort in knowing there was a barrier keeping her in. I also put my 11 lb dog in who is older and surprisingly she loved it too. She can't walk much anymore and loved going for the ride to see all that she was missing! I would highly recommend this. Everyone I road by thought it was so cute and commented on it. Also, I thought it may be hard to steer my bike but there was no issue and I didn't even notice a difference from when the basket wasn't on the bike. Get it, it's worth it!
