Keen is the most comfortable brand I've ever owned. Unfortunately they tend to wear out pretty quickly for me. One pair lasted me one hunting season. I no longer use Keen boots for hunting or hiking, only every day wear because they're so comfortable.

I have used the Targhee III, IV, and then the Circadia boots on all sorts of hikes. Need to point out that I have only used the Keen series of boots on dry trails only. I have not used them in the snow or either accidentally or purposely jumped into rivers or streams. For that latter category for water exposure, I think an 8" boot version would be better.The Circadia boot pair I purchased was at a disount via Amazon Renewed, and I was lucky to find it in the Bison/Brindle color scheme. Let me first say that that coloration is awesome. The best IMO. However after comparing my hikes with the Targhee series, there is room for improvement for the Circadia. The outsoles are too thin. The area of the foot where my metatarsals join, was exposed and I could easily feel small and larger rough rocks. So the sole thickness needs to be improved in that area. During hikes I kept telling my hiking crew that the foam of some of my flip flops provided more isolation. Secondly, I wear a size 11, and this particular boot was about 1/2 size too large with medium / warm weather merino wool socks. The two conditions lead to my foot heating up in the p.a. location of my foot. I could feel the boot slide as I hiked up and down hill, and just slightly on level terrain. There was no heat felt from the heel or sides of the boot. Other points: the boot strings that come with the boot should be the same as the other Keen series of Targhees. The top hook is plastic, would be better with the same metal version as the Targhees. When pulling the boot strings tight, I could never get them to feel totally tight, like it's part of my feet, and that's what you want for a boot.

I’m a clydesdale, 6’ 3”, 215lbs, 44” chest so finding comfortable hydration solutions is challenging, the others I have tried were too big/bulky, shoulder straps cut in, too high on my back etc. folks my size can probably relate. I use this in my gravel bike so sleek, comfortable are top priorities and this is perfect, super (and I mean super) comfortable, great fit, well thought out storage and did I say comfortable? If you need more storage for hiking etc. you might need to look at another product but for my cycling needs it is in point. So glad I made this choice, I bought the XL and wouldn’t use anything else.

Muy buen diseño y cómodos. La suela es como una goma resistente que les da muy buen agarre al suelo. Eso si, vienen más amplios de lo normal. Usualmente uso talla 11us en esta marca pero los tuve que cambiar por unos 10.5us y estos últimos me quedaron perfectos.

I have always been the guy that won’t pay a higher price for some name brand if I can get away with it. For example, I bought a pair of hiking shoes from Walmart for $30. I didn’t expect much but they became my favorite shoe. When they basically started to complete fall apart I went back to Wally World and picked up a pair of boots to replace them and use them for work. I took them back the next day.I am not tough on my boots as I work security and do a lot of walking at a very large Saw Mill. Amazon, here I come. I bought two pair based on price, number of reviews and at least a 4.3 star rating. Working at a mill, I have to walk through large puddles of water many times each day so a boot has to be waterproof. I received them, tried them out and promptly returned them. Not only were they NOT waterproof, I doubt they were even water resistant. I paid about $35-$45 per pair. Since I was leaving on a trip to Ohio in a week and it was raining and cold, time was of the essence. As you all know, Amazon is flooded with knock-offs and china based made items so looking through all those boots was mind numbing. I came across these Keen boots.Now my actual review: I bought these based on three factors: name recognition, price, and reviews. Keen has always been a good brand. Surely not the best but certainly not the worst. First thing I did once I got them is added the Copper Fit Work insole. Best ever. Just saying. Walked around the house in them all day. At the end of the day, I took them off and to my surprise, no rubbing or irritation on the tops, sides, or even the heal areas of my feet. Now that I am home from Ohio, I wear them everyday. Without a doubt, these are the best boots I have owned. They are waterproof up to 2” from the ground. I didn't tempt fate and try anything deeper mostly because that’s the most I would walk thought at work. They are a bit stiff out of the box, which is to be expected, but still comfortable.One thing I will tell you is this. If you plan on wearing thick sock, boot socks, or any combination of the two, it you would do well to get a full size larger. Your toes will thank you. I hopes this review helps you in your decision making process. I rarely give any product 5 stars as that would be a perfect score and nothing man makes is perfect. These boots are really close though. Happy Hunting.
