Imo they are really bad yes I got one scratched but beyond the scratches it takes away the quaility way too much for myself. I'm just going the no protection route. Bought a silicone sleeve that I put on when walking through rough stuff. Haven't had an issue yet fingers crossed.

These work well and fit well, but I feel like I've noticed the slightest downgrade in quality on my video. This is to be expected as you're adding something on top of the lens glass, but I'd say these are still worth it for what I do (mounting the camera on the back of my car as I drive in the mountains)

Lens guards for the Insta360 are a situational item. If you're using the camera in situations where you are really worried about damage, a product like this does give you a serious amount of protection and confidence for the lenses. However, you are paying a cost in image quality.I took this lens guard out on my motorcycle for an afternoon ride, and when I got the footage home, the good news is Insta Studio recognised that I had a premium lens guard on and automatically adjusted the stitching for the thicker rim!That said, when you have thicker stitching like this, the seam between the two halves of your 360 image becomes fairly noticeable. You end up with a wide blurry line around your footage, and anything that crosses that line too closely will double up and fade away. This can happen without the lens guards, but the distortion range of a naked camera is usually a few inches, this is now many feet. I also noticed that the camera had a much harder time balancing the colours on both halves of the image, which left me with a noticeable seam between a lighter warmer side and a darker cooler side of my frame.For sports riding and other situations where my camera is really at risk, I think it's still worthwhile, but just know that with any lens guard for the Insta360 like this, you will be affecting your final images.
