As advertised, this fan continues to be quiet* after several months of consistent use. The look is attractive - simple, modern design with a nice flat paint finish. It hugs the ceiling nicely. My only disappointment is the absence of a very slow fan speed. Using the reverse mode to push the air to the ceiling makes it doable.

If you have an older condo that has wallboard over concrete slab ceilings, and Romax wiring channel on the ceiling; (no electrical box) this is a perfect replacement for older fans. Gap between mount and housing easily allows the Romax cable to supply the power cable. Replaced a humongous old wooden fan with handing globe light and chain seitches, with this sleek, low profile fan that puts out a lot of air. No issues with fan retaining memory using a light switch, if you wait 10 seconds to save the settings before restarting.

Hopefully this review will address any questions you might have regarding the product.Installation time - I consider myself handy but take my time when reviewing instructions and double checking things. With that said, it took me 1 hr to install this light, and that includes taking down the existing one.Quality - fan is great quality and similar to another one (more expensive, American made) I installed after this one. It was packaged well and arrived in great shape. Material is mostly metal with the exception of the fan blades.Air movement - this thing moves some serious air around, and much better than the older unit. I like that it has 6 fan levels and you can set it on a timer. It’s extremely quiet, even at highest setting.Remote - works flawlessly and you can turn off a majority of the “beeping” noise. If you turn it on and off with the remote, it’ll beep, but not if using the wall switch. It also includes a wall mount. See pictures of remote and “beeping” silencer switch.Light - this thing can is BRIGHT at its fullest, but can be dimmed way down. It has multiple color settings as advertised, and if you leave the light on for 7 seconds and then turn it off, it’ll remember your setting the next time. The problem for me and the reason for 4 stars is that if you turn it off and on quickly it reverts to default setting which is daylight color, and I absolutely hate that. Also, and not a fault of this product, having a down light instead of a bowl light is that the top perimeter of your room will be dark (I included a picture). I have 8’ ceilings, so make sure to take that into considerationCustomer service - fantastic, and extremely polite and responsive. Only reason I know this is because I contacted them about the light color and if the default setting can be changed to a warmer color.Other cons - the plate that attaches to the ceiling doesn’t sit flush, so when you install the cover plate, there is a 1/4 to 1/2” gap at the ceiling. Not a huge fan of this, but for a kids room it’s fine. There is no way to adjust it to my knowledge because the plate doesn’t sit flush.Overall it’s a good fan and has great customer service. Hopefully something in this review helps to answer your question and whether it’s right for you.

I wanted a ceiling hugger fan with DC reversible motor and bright dimmable light. This Taloya 52" comes close to satisfying my requirements and expectations. The fan motor and housing are heavy but the blades and blade arms are lightweight. The large light is integrated LED. The fan operation is smooth and quiet. It does produce quite a lot of air movement even on the lowest speed. The light is large and bright. It has three color ranges and is dimmable. I would have liked it more if the low dimming range was lower. The remote operates all functions of the fan/light. The installation instructions are minimal and basic (pictures only). It seemed as if something was missing, even though I have installed several types of ceiling fans over the years. Fan assembly takes a little bit of time but after completion the fan and light looks good and works well. However, the poor instructions in the box resulted in the 4 star rating rather than 5.
