Was exactly what I needed to play songs on my car stereo. Is still in great working condition.

It does a good job internally but if your USB ports are side by side, it gets pretty crowded in width. More streamline would be better.

Here is a copy of the letter I wrote Verbatim Customer Service.Dear Verbatim USB Drive Dept.Two years ago, I bought an 8GB Verbatim USB Jump Drive - Store-n-Go. I love this thumb drive. The little thumb handle turns blue while it activates during drive activity, and the data Read/Write rate is great - about 12MB-15MB a second.Recently I needed some more 8GB storage so I went off to a local store and bought some cheap competitors thumb drives, which sadly were much slower ~ 3.5MB/sec than my trusty Verbatim. Disappointed, I returned those competitors and bought 3 new 8GB Verbatim Store-n-Go Drives, thinking they would be just like my older Thumb drive. But they are not. The new Store-N-Go thumb drives are as slow as the competitors (~3.2MB/sec) and the little handle doesn't illuminate. Now, I have no problem with Verbatim selling different performance level of of Thumb Drives at different price points, but that's not my complaint.The problem is that Verbatim has branded both these drives the same. Same shape, red case, retractable, and named EXACTLY the same not only on the packaging but when you retrieve the hardware profile while having the thumb drives plugged into a computer. (Both are STORE-N-GO.) To Brand both these Drives as "Store-N-Go" is outrageous and borderline deceitful.Resolution, what I really want is just to be able to buy a good preforming Verbatim thumb drive, however Verbatim provides no information about the performance of its drives to figure which one to buy. Even better, it would be great if Verbatim would just send me 3 of the "older" fast 8GB drives. If not, fine, but there seems to be lots of choices out there for me and I simply will just chose some competitor. Sad, because of how much I really appreciated my old Verbatim 8GB STORE-N-GO.A formerly content customerDougP.S. I am going to leave this same review on Amazon where I got these Thumb Drives supplied by a reputable company "OfficeMax"
