This cuts and ice hole in a cigar and it works as it should. That’s it it works.

The construction seems solid. But it does not extend or retract smoothly. I had another brand that was better, but I lost it and, unfortunately, they no longer make it.I'd also note that this is an 8 mm punch. The description does not call that out at all and it's an important piece of information for cigar smokers. One reviewer said it was 1/4 inch, which is smaller. I was looking for a 6 mm. But I'll make do with this. Just beware.

Compact, sharp, and effective! Couldn't ask for anything else. The fact that it retracts to both protect the blade, and pop off the cut plug is great.

The Vertico cigar punch is a very nice punch. The retractable punch cleans out after every use. It cuts a very nice clean hole. It will not damage the end of the cigar. The punch is very sharp and easy to use.
