I used this for a pirate costume and it was a hit. It was super comfortable. It was not see through ( I ordered black) it fit true to size. I feel like it was a great price.

i bought this because of the price and because i didnt have a peasant dress, so i ordered this one in white. i wanted something a few sizes larger so i can have a night gown that is comfortable and i can wear inside the out and when i have to answer the door or let the dog out and not have anything see through on. so to the pro's and cons!Pros:beautiful stichingordered 3 sizes bigger and still isnt overly baggymade extremely welltrue to sizecons:on size 2x the cuffs on the sleeves are tight ( i am a normal large)so with that said yes the cuffs on the sleeves of the 2x that i ordered from a night gown are tighter than they should be so if you are actually a 2x (i am not) please understand your arms will end up hurting from the elastic.

i promise you, shein has better options & quality. the stitching was horrible, there was no movement to the dress cuz it wasn’t sown correctly.. the length was weird even tho i got my exact size… the stitching tails (idk what they’re called but when the stitching continues past the fabric) were on every piece of fabric. i immediately returned it & got a CHEAPER & better quality one from target very last minute.

I think what most people want to know if this is wearable to a Renaissance Faire. Let me break it down for you. I am 5 feet 2 inches, the dress fits me nicely, although slightly long to where I would need to hike it up in some cases. I think if you are a few inches taller, this would be a perfect fit. Second, the material, while great quality, is heavy, so this would not be the best to wear on a sweltering day.Beyond that, it is a lovely shade of dark red. I love the off shoulder aspect and don't feel like it could slip down. I love all the ruffles in the bottom once it gets to the leg part. I think a pirate hat or an eye patch would definitely give off pirate vibes if you were wanting to spiffy up the costume.Overall, this would be a great dress to wear on a cooler day to the Renaissance Faire, or it is a great dress in general if you were wanting to be festive.
