I bought this for turning logs on my sawmill. It looks like it will do what I need it to do. It is heavy, which is not a bad thing since I intend to mount it permanently. It is a heavy hoist and should be powerful enough to handle the largest logs I will mill on my machine, so I expect it to perform as expected.

This 2200lb hoist by Vevor is working very well for me in my metal fab shop. The hoist is mounted on a harbor freight gantry.

Ordered this a few months ago, was not going to need it until fall, box looked "ok" so did not open until now. Fan shroud busted, fan busted, steel bearing end flange bent into spool, does not look to be eligible for return at this time, will update review once I figure out if and when anything can be done....

First let me start by saying this winch arrived damaged from shipping. The plastic fan housing was broken and the cheap plastic that holds some of the electrical components was broken. I was able to repair these fairly easy so I didn’t have to return it.After repairing minor issues I created this stand for it seen in the picture. I’ve lifted over 100 prices of 10” cast iron pipe that weighs over 258 pounds. It doesn’t struggle at all. Quite sure it could lift double this.The short control cable is somewhat of an issue. When I’m done with this project I’ll make 2 extensions for it so that it will hang down 30’.So far very happy with the winch. I’ll update at the end of my project if it doesn’t make it
