Quality is very poor for a precision basket, even at the lower price end. Holes are off center, some holes are not properly machined. And machine marks inside basket are very are very rough. It does fit inside a stock breville spouted portafilter. Going to return and purchase a higher quality basket. Does look like it has larger holes than the stock basket though.

This basket lets you increase the amount of coffee grounds you can add to the Barista Express machine.You struggle with the stock one to get 18g in the double basket, however with this I have fit upto 19g and there is still room for more.The coffee pulls nice and evenly and this can be seen using a bottomless portafilter.A great value addition to upgrade your machine.

if you like a large coffee often the smaller baskets on the market just don't hold enough coffee to brew a decent shot at a reasonable brew ratio to get both a good extraction and enough coffee at the same time.this fits my portafilter well and pulls a very tasty shot at my usual 1:2.2 ratio once i have all the variables dialled in.if you just want a simple replacement basket this is not for you, if you want to up the coffee dosage and know enough about espresso making to dial in your shot properly then this is a decent budget option

something isn’t quite right and I don’t know what as I’m not a specialist but…it fits nice and tight into the portafilter, in fact it’s more difficult to remove that the original ones that came with the machine.however, the coffee just falls out of it!with original ones, you do need to knock a number of times into the bin for the puck to come out, with this basket however it just falls out.Sometimes, coffee puck remains attached to the machine after removing the portafilter! A very disgusting experience as you don’t notice that until few seconds later and the puck ends up in your cup of freshly made coffee!while I enjoyed how much easier it was to knock the puck out, I’m not happy with how difficult it is to remove it from the portafilter for cleaning and how often it just remains attached to the unit and creates a big mess.don’t recommend.Coffee machine: Sage barista touch impress
