I picked this up because I wanted to effectively quantify the resistance of some ESD material I received. While technically out of the spec from the manufacturer, it's cool to have this land at a value that's close to what I expected (and more importantly have a sense of what the true resistance is).This is definitely a tool to be treated with caution and respect. I slapped a cheap multimeter in parallel and it agreed with the uncomfortably high voltages this this was cranking out on my workbench. On the flip side of things I checked a 1 MΩ resistor on this and got a value that was pretty close. I'm happy with this and it's great to finally have a tool to properly measure large resistances in the shop.
