I purchased the VIVO Low Profile Broadcast Boom Arm two months ago. It's sturdy, easy to set up, and holds my microphone securely. The only downside is needing the Allen wrench for minor adjustments if you reposition it often. Overall, I recommend it for its reliability and affordability.

Overall, this is a pretty sturdy product. After manually tightening the tension, it holds well, and has a smooth range of motion. The cable management function on the bottom is a plus as it hides the USB cable for my mic well. My only issue is the length, but that is more of an issue with my table size and desk layout than the product itself.

I had a nice high profile mic mount, but it would get in the way given how my desk was built and setup, so I wanted to replace it with a low profile mount. Found this after searching, and it had some good looking features, looked nice, had cable management, so I figured I'd give it a try.Pros:-Low profile setup - I mean, this is why you're getting the arm, but it works. It's a low profile, sits very low so you can have it pass under a monitor on an arm for example.- Cable management - The under channels for cables are nice. Cables are tucked away, and it's loose enough to allow slack and easily pull the cables a bit if you need to.- Rotational adjustments are super easy.- Easy to disassemble - You can just pull the upper arm out of the lower arm, or the lower arm off the desk mount easily. Useful if you need to move the mount, or want to change out the mic.- Mic adjustment is easy. There's a good range of motion around the mic itself by the 2nd arm. You can rotate, do height adjustment, lock it down, and it's fairly easy to adjust while not falling under the weight of the mic.- Fits a wide array of mics. My MV7 has a larger connection and it fit directly on the stand, but there was also a smaller mic connection adapter if your mic has a different connection, or you want to use it for a web cam (A viable option as well) or light mount. I actually picked this stand over another because the other had multiple people say their Sure SM7B did not fit (and it's got the same threading as the MV7). So this looks to be a standard threading for mics.- Sturdy metal construction - The 2 main metal arms and the desk mount are very sturdy, and feel rugged and reinforced. What that's not the most important part of an arm, it means that the arm itself feels very stable once you get it into position, the arm could survive some occasional bumps or mishaps that are bound to happen.Cons: (AKA, why it's not quite a 5 star product)- The 2nd arm has some height adjustment options. However, since the only way to tighten it is with a screw, it's not very adjustable. If it's tight enough to hold in place, adjusting it is difficult because it either doesn't want to move, or you have to use enough force to move it you move it to far. Also, after you move it, it naturally settles back into a lower space, so there's some weird slack on where it adjusts. This could have been EASILY fixed if they had a hand turnable screw keeping that joint secured, so you could loosen it, adjust it, and retighten it easily, or simply used a join similar to what they used closer to the mic, which are all significantly more adjustable.- The 2nd high adjustment also tends to slide down and not stay, and tightening it seems difficult both because it's a small hex screw, but also the angle often adjusts when tightening it, resulting in making it very difficult to get the right angle. And since I wanted this because I wanted it to be low profile, I didn't want the arm always angled up, so this adjustment issue is a MAJOR problem on an otherwise excellently adjustable arm. I also find that even the slightest downward pressure results in the arm continuing to go down further (like touching the mic or an occasional elbow bump), or it's so tight it's nearly nonadjustable, and there's no middle ground, which would be fine if I could easily tighten or loosen it. Also, needing to keep a hex bit around just to adjust part of the stand seems counter-intuitive.- The cable guides, while nice, are apparently fairly cheep. Before I even hooked up the arm, a piece of plastic fell out of one of them. It turns out there are 2 different hooks keeping them up in the arms, and one of the sets of hooks broke off before I even used the mount. Fortunately, the cable and mount stay put, but I should (I haven't yet) reach out and see if I can get a replacement. Also, because of that issue, it was difficult to figure out how to remove them, as one of them was already loose to start with. Once I figured it out (they slide to the side, and then you can pull them out easily), it was fine, but I'm not a fan, and think having a note in the manual or in the box would have been helpful (there was not one, I did check).Overall, it feels like it's construction is generally good, and I've been able to get it to fit on my desk easily and get it where I want it to be for both use and when I'm not using it. If they could fix the 2nd arm joint adjustability issue, this would easily be a 5 star product (The cable guide thing I'll chalk up to bad luck). Fortunately for me, that wasn't a deal breaker, but does hamper how I wanted to use this stand slightly, and makes what would be an absolutely amazing product into simply a fairly good product.

Solid steel, no sagging. I'm using a Shure sm58. One star off because the cable tray plate is just a tad small for xlr cables. When I tried to force the xlr cable between trays clips it damaged the cheap plastic. Not a big deal, the space inside the tray was enough, I just had to Velcro it shut.
