The Vornado fan is incredible. It is quiet but moves air wonderfully. For its size it is extremely impressive. I own two of these now.

I've had this fan in operation for just over a year now. I bought it in June of 2021. We have an area of an old home that is always cool and, unfortunately, damp. In the winter, we can get icicles in the furthest corner. Once we set this up and started moving air into the channel, it was able to get air into the corners and eliminate the moisture problem. I don't know if this has anything to do with the way air is pushed through it vs other fans, but it worked better. This summer we're going to renovate that part of the house and get rid of this issue. I am pretty happy that we found a simple solution in the meantime. We had tried different fans, but none were as effective in getting air into the farthest corners as this one. I also appreciate that while there is some noise when running on medium or high speed, it is not as noisy as the other fans we have. The design makes it about as slim as it can be while still remaining stable when running on high. There is no tippy feeling when picking it up. However, if it does tip over or when I placed it on its back purposely, it still bows air as the design with a basket area on the back means that the air intake is not restricted; this is another good thing. On the back side, in one top corner is the on/off speed control, and the other is an indent that acts as a handle making the otherwise slim and slippery build easier to move.Build quality is good, which is a good thing because this is not a cheap fan. That said, it has gone up in price significantly in a year. I purchased it for $87.99, and it's now selling for $105!Would I recommend it, based on my experience over the last year - yes?

Nice fan, works well on low speed - high speed is getting a bit too noisy for nighttime though. Quiet enough and effective enough to have running on low blowing across the bed at nighttime. First fan arrived DOA, but Amazon replaced very quickly (which was awesome considering I had it delivered to Dubai, UAE).I am not so sure about it blowing air as far as they claim and it never seems to be quite the miracle I was hoping for, but it does the job of cooling me down when blowing in my general direction so I can turn down the AC controller. Can recommend this as a decent fan, reasonable build quality and not bad value for money.

The other reviews for this Vornado 673 pretty much cover it well. It is relatively compact 12.5" wide, 13.25" tall, and 6" deep (actual depth is 7" including three standoffs/legs that are molded into the plastic case in the rear). It has a three-speed switch (off-low-medium-high) and it does move a lot of air. Running it at night in a bedroom does not produce a lot of noise and you can run it flat on its back or stand it upright. At medium and high it does get a little louder but not near as bad as most box fans. It will also sit in a window, on the sill if you improvise a little (put a table/stand below window, move a chair so the back blocks a corner of the fan from falling over, tape it, or tie it, make a box that comes to sill height and set it on it--hey it's not rocket science). Having no air conditioning I need a fan or fans for about three weeks out of the year and I like this because cheaper, more convenient box fans are too noisy to run all night and this Vornado can bring a large volume of air into a bedroom on low speed. The three fan blades are approximately 4" long covering a diameter of approximately 8". It appears that it can be taken apart for cleaning without a lot of trouble. If you store it in the box it came in or a plastic trash bag when not in use it will not collect much dust. I'm very pleased with it and with the Vornado Company. Like just about everything else it is made in China and seems to be a well made. I still have a Vornado fan/heater from several years ago I bought at Costco. After two years Vornado sent me a "Recall" notice as they had a some units with faulty switches that could potentially cause a fire. They sent me a prepaid UPS mailer and instructed me to find a box and ship it back to them. They sent me a brand new, slightly upgraded, replacement which I have used the past four winters without a problem. I also like the Lasko 3300, 20 inch fIan for moving a lot of air from one end of a 3,000 sf house to the other, including upstairs. Well made, three speeds and off, tilts on its frame/stand, not expensive, not too noisy, does not rattle or vibrate, and has mostly great customer reviews. I purchased both the Vornado 673 and Lasko 3300 this year and have used them quite a bit--unusual warm weather this summer. Amazon had the best Vornado price and Ace Hdwe the best Lasko 3300 on-line price with free pickup at store.

I was a little leery about buying this, since I've had mixed experiences with Vornado products (primarily thinking about 2 heaters that had durability / breadown issues shortly after the warranty expired), but summer in my area has had several uncharacteristic spells of really hot weather (and I sleep hot anyway), so I started searching for a bedroom fan that was quieter and more effective than my old one. After doing a ton of research, I settled on this Vornado 673---I wanted something that was small enough that I could easily put it on the floor, on a dresser, or in front of a window, I wanted something that was reasonably quiet, and was also efficient at lower speeds--my previous bedroom fan just put out a small gasp of air at its lowest setting, and I wanted something better. When I received the fan, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that in fact it WAS quiet at the lowest setting, much more so than any other fan I have (and I have 4!). I don't have a decibel meter so can't quantify, but the low speed sound is like the sound of maybe 3 computer fans running together. Or your dryer on low speed, or a very quiet dishwasher. And even on its lowest speed, it really does a good job of circulating air---one of the things I really wanted it to do was to move the cooler air from the window into the room---and on the days that were really hot but then turned into a cooler night, I could really feel the cooler air from the window being dispersed about the room, even on nights when there wasn't much of a breeze from outside pushing the cooler air in---so for that, I give it an A+. The "whole room air circulation" that Vornado touts repeatedly actually does work!On the 2 higher speeds, as other reviewers have noted, it moves a lot more air and is also more noisy (sound levels are more like a "normal" non-quiet fan---from somewhat intrusive to a dull roar), but I can live with that for those times when I want a lot more airflow. I also like the fact that there's an actual switch for the fan, not a digital push button---on some of my other fans that have digital controls, some idiot decided that it would be a good thing to have a beep every time you changed the speed or turned it off, which is kind of vexing if someone else in the room is sleeping (even if it's just your cat!).All in all, I'm glad I chose this fan---it works well overall, and it's definitely a great fan for bedroom / night time use.
