I have two cheap pair of binoculars, plus a lovely self-stablizing pair of Canon binoculars. The Canon is fabulous, but fairly low magnification, and because of the electronics, I don't want to leave it in the car exposed to heat and cold. A friend recommended the Vortex Diamonback, and it is a winner.The Diamonback is heavier than my previous, cheaper pairs, has better magnification, better focusing, better clarity -- they are simply better in every respect. They are also robustly made, and easily handled with gloves. Outstanding binoculars, and I thanked my friend for her recommendation.

Impressions:Great optics for the price. Amazing Deal. Very clear. Vortex optics is fantastic. Wouldn't buy anything else.Pros:-Extremely clear optics. You may find other optics with the same or better specs for a better price, but it doesn't mean they are as good as these. The glass is extremely clear at multiple times of day.-Great grip on the exterior makes them easy to handle.-Easily track targets. I formerly used a monocular instead of binoculars and often find myself missing being able to spot birds and such, but two large lenses make it a snap.-Vortex has a lifetime warranty on all their products and they mean it! Break your binoculars up to 6 times for any reason and you get a new pair. No questions asked. You cannot beat that!-Very rugged. Don't feel cheap at all.Cons:-Somewhat expensive, but it's not a con really, it is just a factor of the high quality item. Buy these if you need an all purpose pair of binoculars.

I have used these binoculars for spring black bear hunting in BC Canada in all light conditions and the clarity is amazing! I have the 10x50's and love them. I will buy another pair for my son's birthday no questions. The warranty is long term security. I also own 2 other Vortex products and love them as well.

Vortex makes an awesome product no matter what you buy . I bought a riffle scope that was excellent so i knew the binoculars would also be good . I was right they are a great buy for the money for sure . The only thing i didn't like about the shipping was they brought them to my door and didn't even knock , just left them at the door . Anyone could of walked by and took them . Lucky I was home and knew they were coming that day .
