We’ve had this now for almost 1.5 years. We thought getting an app controlled version would upgrade from the previous one we’d had for an older child for 5 years. We had the Mela, I think by little Hippo. And I’m going to go by another. The Vtech soother can’t be adjusted from the app, if you aren’t close enough to it. Despite it being connected through home WiFi. Making it difficult-or if you use a toddler lock-impossible for a sitter to turn it on. The app only has sliders with tiny radio buttons to adjust time, bright, sound, making it annoying to get exact to what you want. And it randomly shuts off. We have totally given up on scheduling as this can’t be adjusted or started during that time, so if you want the schedule to start at 7, and you try and adjust at 7:05, you can’t. You’d need to shut that off and start a manual one, and remember to turn schedule back on and the next day. Spouse and I both have the app, but it’ll glitch and get weird if it’s open-but not being used-in the background of one of our phones. It loses connection to the app and soother. Again-making it impossible to control from the app. This week, again, it’s randomly shut off the sound at like 4am. Which wakes our child, then she’s ready for the day at 4am. And grouchy by 5p. It’s too much of a hassle. Not with our sleep and hers. We’re buying something different. I do like the sound options, and light options if you can control the levels.

This is a far inferior product to the hatch light, which costs a few bucks more. We have had both this vtech contraption and the hatch, and there is truly no comparison. We bought this thing to replace a hatch light that our toddler broke (it was 4 years old and didn’t like being turned into a football). We tried this one for about a week before giving up. Truly, I was frustrated every single time I used this product and our kid wasn’t sleeping through the night all of a sudden because this thing kept actually waking him up. I wanted to love it…but it’s a no.Our primary complaint was the light is not able to be dimmed nearly low enough to be comfortable for sleep. Even at the lowest setting available (5%), it was super bright in our son’s room.True, it has tons of “fun” features, like projections and stories, but…they are super frustrating to use. The projections can’t be dimmed at all and are also very bright. Then, the buttons controlling the machine are needlessly complex and are very small. Similarly, the app to control it from your phone is SUPER glitchy and not at all user friendly.Sounds and stories: Amusingly, we found the stories had some outdated language (like…any story featuring a donkey contains the word “ass” several times, which is okay until your kid starts saying “ass” all the time in public. There are like 10 ass stories, btw). The music quality was actually pretty nice, but almost impossible to navigate to without the app- and only one person can have the app, which makes it hard on your partner if you aren’t there and your kid wants some Mozart. Even once you do finally get to the music, though, it is bizarrely quiet compared to the white noises, which were quite loud. The white noises also didn’t have consistent volumes between the tracks, so 40% volume with “campfire” was comfortable, but would make your ears bleed with, say, “river.”Anyways, you can probably tell this product didn’t make the cut for us. We went with the Hatch Rest 2 after returning this thing, and are so relieved. Our kid can sleep again! Sure, the hatch has fewer bells and whistles, but what it does have is so much higher in quality.

this has been absolutely life changing! we used this in our room as we all have lived in the same room for almost 2 years and my daughter naps through everything with this on! thank you!!!!!

I love it! This helped so much with getting my grandson to stay asleep at night with the white noise. I love that you can see the temperature in the room and also the time. I highly recommend this product.

Es bueno pero no se apaga el relij y tiene mucha luz y en la noche es molesta
