Took some digging to be sure this was the correct replacement light for our fridge but it was. Arrived in time, packed well, included a little installation tool which is basically a butter knife. Installation is not hard but you need to be patient, nothing to do with this product but the fridge light has a white rectangular plastic trim piece around it that needs to be removed, thats what the butter knife tool is for but if you rush you will break it. Once that is off the instructions are very good as there are two kind of hidden screws to be removed from the light cover. Once you get to the light replacement is easy, unplug the old and plug in the new (this part). One tip: I had to close and open the fridge door to get the light to come on, the new one did not come on with the door opened when I first plugged it in, slight panic. Putting everything back together is easy and its been working fine for over a week now.

Seller responded quickly and sent me installation instructions. Replacement LED panel worked perfectly! The OEM Whirpool replacement is $480 which is appalling - my fridge is only 3 yrs old which is also troublesome! Thanks guys!

Access to the cavity where the light panel is connected is a bit challenging and you have to be careful not to break the tabs, but once you are in, the connection is simple and it is a good fit. Less expensive than the OEM Whirlpool part but still expensive for a freaking LED panel.

Exactement pareil à la pièce d'origine.Ça valait la peine de se risquer à démonter la lumière, malgré l'indication de Whirlpool comme quoi il faut appeler un technicien.Encore une entreprise diabolique qui essaie de voler ses clients !

The initial trim was the most difficult part of the replacement. We used a putty knife which worked well. The instructions given in Amazon's comments was accurate and a big help. This replacement was a good fit and works well. Hope it last longer then the 18 month factory original part. The manufacturer quoted $450 to replace this part.
