This is a reasonably priced pedal that exceeded myexpectations. Don't let the gorgeous artwork distract you--it's not a gimmick pedal, and has very subtle and usable reverb out of the box with minimal effort. It also gets into ambient, cavernous reverb just as well--the knobs/pots are great and make for smooth transition. My only complaint is that the top of the knob surface makes the marker lines difficult to read in certain lighting. Otherwise the pedal is perfect...impressive packaging too. Given the overall quality and tone I would definitely buy another Walrus pedal.

Me gusto mucho todo lo que lleva la marca, la experiencia de abrir el pedal como deber todos los acabados que tiene, realmente me enamore de la marca

The Fathom sounds like a lot of different things. On most settings, it truly does sound like you're shouting down into a deep, dark cavern, or listening to music underwater. So awesome 👏👽

First, the good. I bought this to use with an old amp I got from a friend; the amp had the basic volume and tone but no reverb; reverb's kind of my thing and I really wanted to explore the possibilities of a device made just for that effect. I'm not disappointed; this device is a lot of fun to play with, and I'm still having a great time learning what it can do.Okay, the bad. This unit does not come with an AC adapter, nor does it use a battery. The user manual specifies a 100ma 9volt DC center negative power supply, and it recommends an isolated power supply (would be helpful if the vendor included this information at point of sale). The "center negative" is unusual, as most adapter tips are center positive. You can use a universal adapter with reversible pins, but if you plug this into a wall outlet you'll likely get a hum. I ended up buying a set of wires that clipped to a 9v battery and plugged into the reverb unit (although I had to cut and re-tape the wires to reverse the polarity), and it works. There are isolated power supplies you can buy, but I have no experience with any of them and cannot offer any advice.Bottom line, it's a good product but you'll need to work out the power details before you can use it. Be aware.

Majestic reverb. This thing has become a significant component of my sound. I love the detuned and lofi settings, but even as a standard reverb it is fantastic, providing you love long trails like I do.

I love this pedal. I do everything from shoegaze to psych to surf to post rock with this. I played a lot of reverb pedals before settling on this one. It makes my tone so emotive and lush. It's versatile enough to just add a little bit of wash to your sound too. I found the Neunaber Immerse a bit too tinny and metallic when paired with my tele. This helps balance that sharpness out. In the end, I wanted a versatile reverb pedal that could provide a thicker clean tone, some washed out psych and some cavernous shoegaze echoes and this pedal does all 3 for me with minimal knob tweaking. I love the modulation on it. I'll probably grab a spring reverb to accompany this at some point but that's another endeavor for another day.
