Great bladder! Went through some tough use and not a single leak or drip!

Owned for around a year. Used on several day hikes and some dirt biking. Has not started leaking yet and I like the bite valve better than any others I've had.

Perfect for hiking and backpacking. Awesome locking mechanism, so much easier that a screw cap. Especially for folks that suffer from any arthritis in the hands.

I wanted to test this a bit before reviewing so my wife and I took it on a few hikes and then to Disneyland. I have a backpack that is outfitted for a bladder system but did not come with one.It did great for the hikes. We noticed it was difficult to get water from the mouthpiece at first but it seems the more we used it, the easier it became. On our first day in Disneyland, it sprang a leak. We thought it was where the hose connected to the bladder but something in the backpack pierced the bag. We patched it with some super glue and didn’t have any issues after. The optional cleaning kit is a must. The hanger that comes with the kit is crucial to keeping your bladder lasting. We’ve had others that we thought we had dried completely only to find out on our next use it tasted moldy. Once that taste sets in, it never goes away.To clean, I highly recommend warm (not hot) water and baking soda. Any soap will also leave a taste you can’t get rid of. Wash it after every use or if you know you’ll be using it the following day, keep it filled overnight and simply rinse it out before it’s next use. Make sure it is 100% dry before storing. It usually takes about 48 hours with some adjustments in between. The same goes for the hose. Detach it, rinse and with the mouthpiece in the open position, blow any remaining water out. Use the hose brush by inserting it in the connection end and hang to dry in the open position with the cap off.All in all, this product is great and as long as you take care of it, it’ll work great.

This is the first hydration bladder I've ever owned, and I bought it for a hiking trip in Yosemite, as I didn't want to have to carry several water bottles with me all day.The overall construction of the bladder was great, and the materials used felt premium. The outside of the pack is soft to the touch but still has some texture to it, and I was pleasantly surprised by it, since I was just expecting a smooth plastic pouch. The slide top makes it easy to fill and clean, but still provides a tight seal, so I wasn't really worried about it leaking. The baffle in the center of the bladder provides a nice weight distribution and keeps it from being too bulbous in the middle like other packs. I filled it with relatively cold water at the beginning of the day and found that it stayed quite cool throughout the rest of the day. The nozzle is wrapped in what looks to be an insulated fabric, though whatever water was in the nozzle got somewhat warm, as it was outside of my backpack. It is easy to remove with the little release button, which I haven't had leaks from yet. The bite valve provides plenty of water, though opening it is a bit difficult, and I always ended up sliding the clear rubber/plastic cover on it a bit, and had to push it back in (never came out all the way, usually just about 1/4 cm, so nothing major). the cap for the bite valve quietly clicks into place, so I know when I've actually closed it or not. One minor thing I noticed (not necessarily an issue for me) is that there were always a few drops of water left in the bite valve after I've closed it, which often ended up dripping on me the next time I went to have a sip - given that we were outside hiking, it didn't really bother me a whole lot, and it was only ever 2 or 3 drops anyway.Overall, I'm very satisfied with it, and look forward to using it in the future.
