Great product. I got the basic version and it doesn't disappoint. Solid construction and seems like it'll last a long time. Quick heat and comfortable handle.Recently started spending a lot of time getting back into circuit board builds and works great. It only comes with one tip so plan on buying the $18 5 pack of tips too if you need the precision point.Replaced a highly rated Yihua with this and very happy I did. That got the job done but the plastic sleeve had weak threads and the heat didn't always seem to be up to temp.

Did not realise that this item was manufactured for the American market therefore it is no good for the British households. I only realised this when I was putting it together and the plug is totally different to British plugs.I am looking for a refund of this item and hopefully I can find a replacement which is made for British use. ☹️

Actualicé mi estación Weller, no por falla o descompostura, simplemente para tener el control de temperatura digital.La he usado un promedio de 2 horas diarias desde diciembre y sigue funcionando a la perfección cuatro meses después.Siempre he usado Weller (junto con Fluke y Kester) y nunca he tenido un problema.Triste leer algunos comentarios negativos de gente que no sabe usar, ni entiende el funcionamiento de las herramientas.

Funciona bien, responde muy rápido al ajuste de temperatura que uno desea en pocos segundos, tiene buena ergonomÍa y se siente de buena calidad de acabados. Su función en trabajos ligeros de reparación electrónica ( SMT) resistencias, IC’s, transistores, es adecuado, pero encontré que su capacidad térmica para soldar contactos, conectores y componentes medianamente grandes no es adecuada y para esa aplicación no se los recomiendo ya que la soldadura queda algo fría.

The typical Weller quality.The station is good and as described.However, to my astonishment, a UK amazon store sells US specs appliances!In other words, the package is made for US and 120V countries, it doesn't mention this fact in the product details.The attached table is a copy of the manufacturer specs table, but the seller removed the last entry, which states it is a 120V device. Very clever.Why on earth a UK amazon store sells devices that don't fit UK specs? And seller didn't mention that it requires 120V!Eventually, I had to buy a step down transformer.
