While the product photo shows 6 appliques with the same orientation, I received mirrored pairs which is even better for the project I wanted them for.The pieces I received were stitched onto a lightweight off-white poly chiffon so they could be ironed flat pretty easily. There was a lot of excess chiffon around the design which on a white or off-white fabric wouldn't show but will on a darker fabric. I ironed some super thin double sided fusible backing to the appliques, trimmed the excess backing and chiffon, ironed the appliques onto the garment, then used matching embroidery thread to tack down all the edges.I think next time I may try clipping and folding under the extra chiffon since the design started unraveling a bit where I trimmed it too close (but not badly). Or I may try applying fray check or fabric glue to all the edges before trimming to keep them in place.Despite the extra trimming work needed I love how my project turned out and at my local craft store it would have been so much more expensive to get appliques this size, if they even had any in stock. The quality is good, not the best I've ever seen but better than expected for the price, and it really looks stunning. Very happy with these and I'm excited to find more projects for the remaining appliques.

These applique are really well made, there is more mesh around them than the main photo would lead you to suspect, but it's easy enough to cut away. I got them to add to a renfair dress, but they would be lovely on any nice garment or bag, really!

They ended up being too big for what I needed them for (my fault for not measuring correctly) but they were so so gorgeous!

I've had to get some small scissors and new exacto knife blades to weed out the tulle that this is on. It's apparently not the kind that dissolves so if you don't want oodles of mesh sticking out, you'll have to get rid of it. I got this to customize some jeans and shirt which I haven't gotten around to doing yet because I'm still weeding the mesh out of them and flattening them back out. They ship folded over in a hard plastic box which does a great job of protecting them in transit but you'll need to leave them under a heave book or something for a few days to unfold them. I've been using my flower press and that seems to work well. With all the plastic tulle I've been afraid to iron them.
