The best on the market either with or without the C-clip.Pros:- strong magnet- super-short- stainless steel, not cheap, chrome plating- shaft is slightly longer than the bit holder, so you get more into your drill and less sticking out- German engineered (but made in Czech Republic)Cons:- not a fan of the C-clip retention. They sell one without the clip, but it was 50% more expensive?!?- the shaft is PRESSED into a round hole on the bit holder. I would have preferred a hex hole and then welded or a one-piece hex shaft and holder. Not a deal-breaker, but I've had these pull out of the holder before.- made in the Czech Republic, not Germany

Neat and well made extension, strong magnet, great for your 12v driver and impact. The only times where the insert bit pulled out was using square recess in my 12v impact, but that's to be expected. I ordered the strong retaining ring version (899/4/1 s) to use with my 18v Fuel impact. Yes these extension will withstand impact driving despite the stainless steel sleeve and both the magnet and retaining ring aren't affected by impact use, unlike most other (like Irwin Impact Series bit holder) where the magnet shatters to pieces or the retaining ring moves around and doesn't retain the bit at all. The extension is very straight, no wobble and definitively worth the extra dough. I paid about $10 CAD for mine, shipped my Micro-Tools, very happy with the seller and the product.
