I know these are expensive, but I have tried everything under the sun and these are the best for stage drummers without going the custom mold route. I had previously invested in custom molds and loved them but after a few years the seal didn’t fit and sound quality drastically degraded. After that I just wanted universal IEMs.The Mach 70 isolation is amazing once you get the right seal, trust me when I say it might take some time but you will find the right seal with the amount of tips you receive in the box. It took me a few different ones to find out but once you get it it’s a game changer. Let’s talk about sound quality, the bass is present punchy and packs a boom which is unexpected for a BA only iem. The weight is super light and comfortable, and the design is sleek and not over the top or flashy. These are easy to drive and have tons of volume to spare without the need for any amplifying. Over all these met all my needs and with the accessories included you can tell this is a quality product.

Love the quality of the audio on the Westones! This is my 2nd set of Westones. I tried Mackie and Shure. Mackie good audio, but can’t repair/replace anything for the them. $300 Shure’s lasted maybe 5 months under pretty non-strenuous use. Very disappointed. Love these Westones. Only gripe is that the cables are very thin. Concerned how they will stand up to regular gigging. Purchased the 24-month insurance so I don’t get fleeced like I did for the Shures.

I am very impressed with the quality of these single driver earbuds that I use as In-Ear Monitors in my band.

I've had these now for about a month. I also own the FiiO FH7s IEMs. I like these a bit more than the FiiO product especially if a neutral sound is important for your listening. The Mach 40 is very detailed and pretty flat, which much more detail and separation than the FiiO. The FiiO have much more bass extension although it's not clear as clear as the Mach 40. However, the Mach 40 is really comfortable and can be easily worn all day.The critical piece for these is to spend a lot of time getting the right fit (it needs fit tight into the ear) or the bass range will be non-existeant. These also DON'T work plugged into a computer and need amplification. However my portable DAC/Amps work wonderfully well with these.

The Westone Mach 30s are wonderful. They're plain lovely to use. They feel really good in the ear. Light and compact with no pain in the ear folds. The cable is thin. Super thin. So thin that it's easy to forget that it's there. My only complaint with the cable is that it does tangle easily. As far as sound I've used these for about 50 hours now and they are great. I have used a number of mid to higher end buds: UE, Shure, Etymotic, Klipsch--these stand up there with some of the best. The soundstage opens up greatly when powered using an amp but they are easily driven by an iPhone.Highs are clear without being sibilant. The mids are full and flesh out the sound greatly without any of the honking tones that can come from a pronounced mid sound. The lows are tight and deep without any of the flabby bass sounds from buds that emphasize the low end.Tons of ear pieces, foams, a case that is pretty tank-like, and some of the loveliest packaging add up to one happy customer.
