Good replacement for the whale pump gusher. Perfect fit; no problems so far.

Valve instructions are backwards the plate with the 4 screws is on the outlet of the body of the pump. The valve which is depicted as going under this plate is larger than the plate’s orifice and could not possibly work as an inlet valve as depicted. The person who wrote these instructions should stay out of the pub!Putting in the valves as depicted but switching the inlet for the outlet brought my 30+y/o pump back to new. Emptied a bucket in about three strokes.You can test your setup by putting your hand over the inlet and try to pump, which should pull a serious vacuum on the diaphragm preventing you from getting a full stroke. The USA number on the instructions was disconnected.

As advertised. I think the only tool I needed was a screwdriver and it took less than half an hour to install including cleaning all the muck out of the old parts. Great alternative to buying a new pump.
