I live in a desert area. Lots of dust. Im a mechanic, and have found the vehicles which have K&N air-filters, to show a very dirty Throttle Body. K&N filters on cars and trucks do provide better flow, and a bit more HP yet with reduced filtration.I do use K&N air filters on cars and trucks, just not in dusty environments. For this I prefer WIX.

It's a Wix filter for a Tacoma. Great quality as expected from WIX. I buy these usually and constantly.

YouTube video showed flow rates and ranked different filters. Wix was one of the top 2 and super cheap here. Only thing I’ve put in the FJ for over 200k miles.
