The rest of the structure is made of thick plastic or metal and it all is durable and rigid enough, but the final connection between rod and tablet holder is just a few thin prongs of plastic, weaker than you'd expect. Very disappointing.

Sturdy and nice, clean look, better than a gooseneck mount. Very functional. May need to play around with the mount arms before getting the desired position, but will hold its place. Wish they had an all black option like others.

I bought this one back in 2022. So sturdy, I am about to purchase my second one for different table. Very sturdy. I have purchased gooseneck type but the neck broke off in one year. Even though this one cost more, but well made and super durable, it’s easier just get another one than moving around. Highly recommended.Manufacturer note: if base can swivel, it will be perfect.

But it’s best for fixed positions. It’s not conveniently adjustable, you have to unscrew it, move it to whatever new position, then screw it back tight.
