It's a little difficult to adjust, but once set up it's pretty sturdy.

The product serves is purpose and is strong enough to hold my tablet overhead. My only complaint is that the metal teeth inside the shaft that allows arm rotation aren't well aligned from one end to the other. The only way I was able to achieve symmetry and a straight hang was to remove one of the screws and just let it hang on the wall like a flag in a flagpole. For that I knocked off one star. It's a $52 item that should have been $26 in pre-pandemic money.

If you're wanting an arm that easily adjusts position, this isn't it. However, if you are wanting a stationary position, this is the product.I've used several of these arms in the past to hold my tablet, which is a heavy monster (Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 14")The joints on this unit have teeth, which requires you to loosen the thumb nut several turns before adjustment is possible. Think of them as two meshed gears. Once locked into place, there is no possibility of sag, which is important when using a heavy tablet like mine.I mounted the baseplate to my drywall using toggle bolts. I had to enlarge the holes in the metal plate by a size for the bolt to fit through. After 4 of them, I can basically do a pull-up on this thing. I mounted it above my bed for movie watching.Overall, I was surprised at the design and stability of it. Does it wobble? Yes, but a lot less than the other designs - more like a vibration when you tap the screen.
