Got this in an open box deal. This reel is incredibly light with a good smooth drag. I also like the click sound level which is not too loud and not too soft both on retrieve and drag. There are 2 considerations that I think need to be addressed. First of all, like others have said the Dragonfly does not have much line capacity. At first, I tried to put 100 yards of regular 20lb dacron backing with 100' of 8wt floating line thinking I would use this for striper (topwater) or indicator nymphing at Pyramid Lake NV. This did not fit at all so I cut off 15' at the end of the floating line and it barely fit. If you used gel-spun backing and 85' of line I think you could fit about 150 yards of backing with an 85' 8wt floating line. Secondly, the drag is not sealed and along with the backing capacity issue makes this reel less than ideal for salt water. It still might work ok as long as you rinse off the salt and don't fish for big hard running fish.I'll probably wind up using this for a shooting head rig which will allow me to put about 200 yards of 20lb gel-spun along with 100 ft of running line and a shooting head. The steelhead won't know what hit them! :)Update 05.25.19: This year I've been using the shooting head system described above for shad paring the 7-8 Dragonfly with a Sage 6wt 9.5" rod. The drag has worked perfectly and at no point did the shooting line work its way out of the reel's line stripper guide which happens occasionally with poorly machined or cast aluminum reels. So far I'm very happy with this reel.

Seems like a decent reel for the price. Have not used it long enough to say how well it will hold up after time.

Nice reel for the price. Quality forged metal. drag is perfect and size is great. Will last many trips to the pond.

Nice Reel. Never use this reel in freezing weather, the drag system keeps on slipping due to the freezing water. It is an awesome reel for weather above 32 degrees. good price.

Very poor drag adjustment. Very difficult to change from left to right hand retrieve. Much too expensive for the quality.
