There is a lot to like about this bite valve. It has a slider to shut off flow during transport. It has a cap to keep debris off the silicone while you are kicking up dust. I replaced an off-brand valve that didn't stay in the hose well. Even with a remaining bulge in the hose from the old valve, this replacement stays put much better. No complaints. It even comes with replacement bite pieces.

The mouthpiece is nice and sturdy and works well. I do like how the mouthpiece works in that it seals up when pushed in as opposed to needing to flip the Camelback closure to seal up the mouthpiece. I also appreciate the attached mouthpiece cap which will keep the mouthpiece clean from dirt and debris.Originally I started typing up this review and saying "connector that is inserted into the Camelback tube is much wider" but I soon realized Osprey included two sizes of connectors! The one pictured was much wider and stretched the Camelback tube too much, but as I packed them back into their pouch I noticed the other mouthpiece's connector was the same size as my Camelback's connector. Stupid me.
